(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 40 cities or counties and 16 provinces. In this report, 39 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 70 practitioners were illegally arrested.

It has been more than a month since Ms. Yang Hong from Huludao City was detained and force-fed in the hospital of Liaoning Women's Prison. Her family members tried to visit her on June 27, but they were turned away.

On January 22, 2006, because of his belief in Falun Gong, Mr. Guo Changsuo was arrested at work by police and sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. He was released on June 23, 2008, after finishing the term. Staff from his workplace took him back to Yakeshi and continued persecuting him at a brainwashing center.

On June 22, 2008, Mr. Yu Li was arrested by local police while he was distributing truth-clarification materials in Yuqiang County. Later, his home was ransacked.

Yu Li, 39, was sentenced to forced labor for two years in 2002. His wife, Ms. Xia Jiangyan, is also a Falun Gong practitioner. In 2002, she was subjected to severe persecution in the Hantai Detention Station. Yu Li and his wife have been homeless for several years to avoid further persecution.

On June 16-20, the township government, 610 Office, and local police stations of the Fuguo Township in Binzhou City, Zhanhua County, conspired to arrest Ms. Yang Zhanmei, Ms. Yang Zhanbao and Ms. Yang Zhanliu, who are sisters. They ransacked the home of Yang Zhanliu and Yang Zhanbao, and seized pictures of Teacher Li as well as computers and other items. Currently, the three practitioners are being detained in the Zhanhua Detention Station.

On the afternoon of June 26, 2008, officers from the Nanzhiqiu Police Station, the Xinji City Police Department and Nanzhiqiu Township arrested practitioners including Mr. Cao Yingbin, Mr. Wei Jie, Mr. Cai Zengcai, Mr. Cai Maolin, Mr. Geng Shujie and Mr. Cai Hengkun (a non-practitioner). They are currently being detained in the Nanzhiqiu Police Station.

On the morning of June 27, Mr. Xin Baodong's home in Nanguan Village, Juyang Township, Sanhe City was ransacked by personnel from the Domestic Security Division of Sanhe Township and the Juyang Township Police Station.

On May 30, 2008, Mr. Yang Yinhai from Qianzhuangke Village, Yanwu Township, Qingyun County was arrested by personnel from the 610 Office of Qingyun County.

On the night of June 26, 2008, Mr. Qi Yanchao, his wife Ms. Zong Lipin and their children, as well as a Ms. Ding Xuemei were arrested.

On the afternoon of June 25, 2008, Ms. Huang Jinrong and Ms. Xu Shengyu from Jingjipo in Jiujiang City were arrested by police in Shengsheng Computer City in Jiujiang. They were sent to the Shili Detention Station in Jiujiang.

At around 8:00 p.m. on May 20, 2008, more than ten officers from the Zhuhui District Police Department of Hengyang City, together with officers from the Xinhua Police Station in the No. 272 Factory, broke into the homes of Ms. Shen Yuying, Ms. Zhang Guilan, Mr. Liu Shuangquan. Ms. Wang Jingxiang and Ms. Zhang Siwen. They ransacked the homes and arrested the practitioners. Practitioners Ms. Cai Suying and Ms. Luo Fangzhen were also arrested. The arrested practitioners were then tortured at the Xinhua Police Station.

In June 2008, Ms. Zhang Dianqing and Mr. Hou Guozhong were arrested by officers from the Shulan City Police Department.

On June 17, Ms. Li Hualin from Yongxiu County, Jiujiang Province was arrested by the local police.

She is currently being detained and persecuted in the De-an County Detention Station in Jiujiang. Her family members were denied permission to visit her.

On June 14, 2008, Ms. Yan Liping was arrested by personnel from the 610 Office.

On June 25, 2008, Mr. Ding Ping, 42, from the No. 2 Auto Manufacturer, was arrested while he clarified the truth in Zhangji Township of Xiangfan City. He is currently being detained in the Xiaowan Detention Station in Xiangfan City.

On June 20, Mr. Chang Lizhong from Qinghuangdao City was sent back home from detention due to his poor physical condition. On June 22-23, officers from the Jianshe Street Police Station and the Gangcheng Street Police Station came to his home to intimidate and threaten him.

At around 4:00 p.m. on June 20, 2008, Ms. Li Wei was arrested by officers from the No. 2 Police Department of Jiangning District in Songyuan City, who broke into her home.

On the afternoon of June 26, Ms. Wei Xiuying from Zhuozhou City was arrested at home and her home was ransacked.

In June 2008, Ms. Chen Meilan from the Engineering School of Jinxian County was arrested by the police while she clarified the truth outdoors.

On the morning of June 21, 2008, Mr. Zhang Daozhong's home was violently ransacked by officers from the Dongming Police Station in the Weifang Development District, and the director of the Xincheng Street Neighborhood Residential Committee of Dongjingma Village.

On June 23, 2008, Ms. Yan Fumei from Shiquansan Village in Putuo District, Shanghai was followed and arrested by plainclothes police while she was shopping for groceries. She is currently being detained in the Putuo Detention Station.

Beginning in 2001, Yan Fumei was persecuted in a forced labor camp for one and a half years. In December 2003, she was put in forced labor camp for another two years.

Ms. Wang Zhixian from Anshan was reported while she clarified truth in the "2.19" Park. She was tortured for four days and nights at the No. 1 branch of the Anshan City Police Department, which placed her in a state of confusion. Ms. Wang is currently being detained and persecuted at Anshan Mental Hospital.

In early May, 2008, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary of Shuiquan Village, Pinchuan Township led local police to break into the home of Mr. Han Zhongsheng. They seized Mr. Han's VCD player, satellite dish and VCDs, among other property.

On the morning of June 21, 2008, Ms. Zhu Xiulan, 55, was arrested at her home by police. She is currently being detained in the Liaoyang City Detention Station in Liaoning Province

At noontime on June 27, Ms. Xie Shuqing from the No. 2 Group of Heiquanyan, Sanxianpu Township, Changlin County, was arrested by officers from the county police station. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Dafa books taken. Currently Xie Shuqing is being detained in the Changlin County Detention Station.

On the afternoon of June 25, officers from the Yangquanzi Police Station of the Panshan County Police Department went to the home of Ms. Wang Chunling and arrested her.

At 11:00 a.m. on June 17, Ms. Wang Junlian from Mutougou Village in Liucheng Township, Chaoyang City was arrested by officers from the Liucheng Township Police Station. She is currently being detained in the Chaoyang Detention Station.

On June 26, Ms. Qi's entire family of three, in Sanliqiaozi, Nong-an County, was arrested by officers from the Gucheng Police Station and the No. 5 Police Group in Nong-an County.

Police from Huanren County arrested practitioners Ms. Li Lianying and Ms. Li Ziqing and ransacked their homes. The two practitioners are currently being detained at the Huanren County Detention Station.

On April 24, among the eight practitioners who were arrested, three were sentenced to forced labor. Ms. Zhang Yunsheng and Ms. Dong Renqing were sent to the Weiningying Forced Labor Camp in Benxi City. Ms. Qi Zhenhong was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

On the afternoon of June 27, Ms. Li Yakun, 53, was reported while clarifying the truth on the street. She was arrested at her home by officers from the Mingshan Police Station. She was later released because she had previously undergone brain surgery.

On February 25, 2008, Mr. Zhao Yu from Jinzhou City was arrested on a long-distance bus between Jinzhou and Shenyang. Later, he was sentenced to two years of forced labor and detained in the Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp.

Since April 21, Zhao Yu has openly practiced Falun Gong in the forced labor camp. He has since been confined in a solitary cell and not allowed any family visits.

During the period around June 9, 2008, Ms. Liu Dongqing, Ms. Xu Larong and Ms. Zhang Suhua from Zhicheng Township in Jiyuan City were arrested and their homes were ransacked. Zhang Suhua returned home after being detained for five days. The police took a computer, printer, and copy machine as well as many truth-clarification materials from the home of Liu Dongqing. Ms. Liu's husband, Zhang Shehui (also a practitioner) then became homeless in order to avoid further persecution. Currently Liu Dongqing and Xu Larong are being detained in the Jiyuan City Detention Station.

During the period around June 9, 2008, Mr. Jia Jinfeng from Jilin City was again sent to the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp.

At around 10:00 p.m. on June 27, 2008, Mr. Gong Jiantao from Yuanwang, Longnan in Daqing was arrested by four officers while he was posting truth-clarifying flyers.

On June 5, Ms. Wang Guizhi, 61, was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun for additional persecution.

On May 25, Ms. Shen Jishu, 53, of Korean ethnicity, was transferred from a detention center to a detention station for additional persecution.

Ms. Liu Caixia from the Tianqiaolin Forest Department of Wangqing County is 35-40 years old. She is employed at the high school of the Tianqiaolin Forest Department of Wangqing County. On the morning of June 24, 2008, she was arrested at her workplace by officers from the Tianqiaolin Police Station and the Domestic Security Division of Wangqing County. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, printer, CDs and some Falun Dafa books, among other items. She is currently being detained in the Zhong-an Detention Center. Her 5-year-old child remains at home, crying out for her mother.

Ms. Zhang Xiuru from Xinglong Township in Bayan County, was arrested by officers from the Hulan City Police Department while her home was ransacked. She is currently being detained in the Hulan Detention Center.

Zhang Xiuru, 31, was sentenced to forced labor for a one-year term beginning in 2001.

Ms. Lü Huichun has spent one year detained in the No. 4 Group in the Heizhuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.

On the morning of June 26, 2008, Ms. Liu Guiying from Dazhongzhuang Township in the Baodi District of Tianjin was arrested by officers from the Dazhongzhuang Township Police Station. They sent Liu Guiying to the Baodi District Detention Station on the same night. The police also ransacked Liu Guiying's home and took her Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials and yuan notes with truth-clarification messages written on them.

Ms. Zhang Baoti from Dachang Township, Baoshan District, Shanghai was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year jail term. She was released on May 25, 2008, after completing the term. However, the 610 Office in Dachang Township used the coming Olympics as an excuse to send Ms. Zhang directly from the Shanghai Women's Prison to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center.

On June 27, 2008, Mr. Xu Guanghua and Mr. Du Zhenshuang from Shahe Township were arrested by police.

On June 17, officers from the Domestic Security Division in the Qiaodong District ransacked the home of Ms. Feng Zhao, though she successfully escaped arrest. The officers arrested Feng Zhao's husband, who is a non-practitioner, and their two daughters who had just finished their college entrance exams, as well as several relatives of Feng Zhao and other practitioners.

On the afternoon of June 26, Mr. Liu Jianhua and Ms. Su Guiying from Shijiazhuang were arrested by personnel from the 110 Police Unit. They were later detained in the Changfenglu Police Station.

On June 24, 2008, officers from the Shanyi Village Police Station and the Legislative Affairs Division of Luquan City arrested Ms. Han Shuxian. They also confiscated Falun Dafa books and truth-clarification materials.

On June 25, 2008, Mr. Zhuo Pengyi, Ms. Zhuo Lian, Mr. Jiang Jinggui and Ms. Lü Gaojun were forcibly arrested by personnel from the Jiangdong District Police Station in Ningbo City. They are currently being detained in the Ningbo Detention Station.

On June 13, 2008, Mr. Duan Baohai from Qi County, Shanxi Province was arrested by personnel from the Chengzhao Police Station while he clarified the truth. Duan Baohai is currently being detained in the Baigui Village Detention Station. He has been holding a hunger strike for more than ten days as of the time of this report.

Anqing City formed the "6.19" Investigation Team for the purpose of persecuting Falun Gong. On June 20, officers from the "6.19" Investigation Team concealed themselves along the route that Mr. Huang Zhisong and his wife Ms. Chen Lingxia take to go to work, and arrested them. Huang Zhisong was then detained in the No. 1 Detention Station. Chen Lingxia was released and returned home on the same night. Mr. Cao Xiongbin was arrested that afternoon.

The police broke into their homes and took computers, video cameras, satellite dishes and two Falun Dafa books.

Since June 20, police stations in Hefei and members of neighborhood residential committees have been following orders from higher levels to arrest practitioners. At this point, nearly 30 practitioners have been arrested. They are being detained in brainwashing centers at different locations. It is known that the following practitioners have been arrested: Ms. Lin Lin, Ms. Ji, Mr. Wang Shanghua, Ms. Xu Xiaoqing, Mr. Lu, Ms. Lu Shanshan (Hefei Industry University), Ms. Chou Xiufen (Hefei Industry University), Ms. Pei Ling, Ms. Zhang Yulian, Ms. Fa Binglan, Ms. Ze Zhihua, Ms. Huang Yuping, Ms. Ji Shufen, Ms. Wang Xiuying, Ms. Sun, Ms. Zhu Weiying, Ms. Zhang Xiuhong, Ms. Zhu Ruiying, Ms. Ding Ziqing, Mr. Li Song, Ms. Hu Shiying, Ms. Zhao Meiling, Ms. Jiang Qing, Ms. Huang Liping, Ms. Li Mei, and others.

At 10:00 a.m. on June 20, 2008, Ms. Xiao Yunheng from Huaian was arrested by Wang Jianzhun and colleagues from the local 610 Office. At the same time, the police confiscated two computers, a printer, and some other hardware including a hard disk, an mp4 player, U-drive, etc. At the moment, Ms. Xiao's situation remains unknown.

Ms. Li Hualing was arrested on June 25, 2008.

On June 23, 2008, Ms. Ma from the Foshan area was reported to the police while she was distributing truth-clarification materials. She was arrested by police and her current situation remains unknown.

In June 2008, Ms. Su Yibi from Jianxin-er Village, Jiangbei, Chongqing City was arrested and persecuted in the Huaxinjie Detention Station. She has not been allowed family visits.

Ms. Wang Wenqing from Wangjiawan, Yaoji Township, Huangpuo District is 60 years old. On June 26, officers from the Yaoji Township Police Station forcibly arrested him and took all of his truth-clarification materials.

At 5:00 p.m. on June 26, Ms. Li Mingqiu, Ms. Li Wenlian, Ms. Luo Lijuan, Ms. Yang Xueqing, Ms. Li Keming, Ms. Lei Xinlian and Ms. Peng Dongying, as well as others from Guang-an were arrested.

Ms. Shi Xiqing, 64, is from the Xifeng District in Qingyang City. On the morning of June 24, 2008, she was arrested at her home by officers from the Xifeng Police Department and the Xiaojing Police Station, while all of her Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials and more than 4,000 yuan in cash were confiscated. Shi Xiqing is currently being detained in the Xifeng Detention Station.

On June 27, 2008, Ms. Ai Caoyu from the Longquanyi District of Chengdu City was reported to the police while she clarified the truth in Longquan. She was arrested by officers from the Xinglong Police Station.
