The Main Spirit Must Return after Leaving the Body

(Clearwisdom.net) We heard there was a female fellow practitioner in her 50s whose celestial eye was open. She said that she could see things in other dimensions and told others about things they could not see but were very interested in. She sometimes told fellow practitioners to do specific things to save sentient beings according to what she saw. Certain practitioners admired her very much.

On June 20, 2008, when a fellow practitioner found her in her rented place, her main spirit had long gone and not returned. She was still in a sitting position, with her hands conjoined, but her body had turned cold and stiff. Later her body was cremated. Fellow practitioners were all shocked and in great sorrow. I was also very disturbed and heavy-hearted.

Cultivation is a very serious matter. One's inborn quality, level, cultivation environment, and origin of life are different, so his or her cultivation path and condition during cultivation will be different. In cultivation, some people can hear, see, and feel things and, for some, their main spirits may escape their bodies. Some have supernormal abilities, and some can contact lives from other dimensions, but be sure not to become attached to any of them. Our abilities are given to us by Master, by Dafa. Whatever we have exists for Fa rectification and for saving sentient beings. Do not destroy yourself because of petty skills.

As Dafa practitioners, we do not take the path of nirvana. Master has not arranged this path for us; without our benti how can we clarify the truth in the human world and save sentient beings? Why, during this critical time of saving people, would you leave all the sentient beings and "walk away" on your own? Does this seem right according to Dafa? Isn't this a path arranged by the old forces?

After one's main spirit leaves the body, the person is dead. As cultivators we know that he or she will go to a better place. But a cultivator's family members are ordinary people, and they are influenced by the Chinese Communist Party's atheistic propaganda. They do not understand what is going on, and they do not believe in the existence of the main spirit. They might scream and cry and even resent Dafa, which will damage Dafa's reputation and bring tribulations to our cultivation. Didn't you cooperate with the evil, didn't you give them an excuse, didn't you give them a chance to linger on? Some practitioners are not even aware that the old forces have taken advantage of their loopholes.

When the main spirit leaves the body, it must return, even though it might feel wonderful without the restraints of a human body. On February 20, 2007, a Minghui/Clearwisdom article, "A Wonderful Experience in Cultivation," described the experience when my main spirit left my body. An editor added a note after the article: "Fellow practitioners, please do not deliberately pursue these supernormal phenomena. After the main spirit leaves the body, it must return. A Dafa disciple's mission is to cultivate oneself in the human world, clarify the truth, and save sentient beings."

When my main spirit left my body several times, I was just curious. My main consciousness was clear, and after I "played" in heaven for awhile I returned to my body. After I read the editor's note, I realized that my main spirit should not go out anymore: I would only go with Master! From that day on, I have not left my body once. As a Dafa practitioner, we have to be responsible for Dafa and for sentient beings, and we have to be responsible for ourselves!
