Amazing Things Happened to Me and My Friends

(Clearwisdom.net) A friend of mine suffered from late stage hepatitis in 1999. He became so thin that he looked like a skeleton, and his back bent even as he walked. He saw many doctors and they tried every kind of medication, but to no avail. He was then told by the doctor that he had only three months to live. His friends got his coffin ready and were waiting for the end of the three months when he was expected to die. At the time, I had only known him for a few days. Seeing him in so much pain, I asked him about his situation. He told me that he had spent all his savings seeking a cure but the doctors could no longer help him. All he could do was go home and await his death. He was very depressed, because he was still young and had parents and children to care for.

I told him that I, too, used to be ill. I had a major operation to remove a lung. Before the operation, I had prepared a gratuity for all the doctors, but I neglected one, trying to save 2,000 yuan. After the operation, I was in so much pain that I cried out all night long and disturbed the entire ward. But the doctor refused to examine me. I had to ask the nurse to give me a shot of pain medicine. A few days later, the chief doctor examined me and discovered that I had a heart murmur. After a careful examination, he noticed that my incision was a oozing. Because of that, I had to stay in the hospital for three more months and spent an additional thirty thousand yuan, but I was still not better. The doctor discharged me, so I went home to rest. My father went to different doctors to find help for me at home, and we spent another ten thousand yuan on this medical care. But it was all like pouring water down the drain--nothing helped.

In 1997, my aunt came to my house and saw that my mother looked very worried and showed no desire to continue living. She told my mother how good Falun Gong was, which I did not believe. My aunt said, "Don't be so skeptical. Why don't you take a closer look and ask around yourself." Out of curiosity, I went online and listened to Teacher's lectures. I was touched as soon as I listened to them. Within two hours of listening, I became energetic. I went home and burned my illness records, then put all my medications together into a big basket and threw them away. The next day, my wife found out about it and scolded me by saying, "Now that you have stopped all the medications, how am I going to live if you die?" I said, "I have seen many doctors and have taken lots of medicines and I never improved. You know all this. This time, why don't you just pretend that you don't know anything and let me give it a try." My wife kept at me for over a month, but I was not affected. Finally, she let it go when I told her, "Don't you see that I have not taken any shots or medication for over a month and I am fine." My illness went away miraculously. My family witnessed this, and all twenty of them began practicing Falun Gong.

After listening to my story, my friend wanted to read Zhuan Falun right away, so I gave him my copy. He could not do the exercises, but his health recovered after he finished reading Zhuan Falun just once.
