Mr. Zhong Zhenfu Whipped with Metal Wires by Guards in Pingdu City Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) At around 6:00 p.m. on May 4, 2008, police officers from the Pingdu City Police Department ransacked two Falun Gong material centers in Pingdu City, Shandong Province. Practitioners Ms. Xu Aifang, Mr. Wang Yunchong and Mr. Zhong Zhenfu were illegally arrested. That same night, the police forced each of these practitioners to sit on an iron chair and interrogated them. Since the practitioners refused to cooperate with the police, the officers poured boiling water over their necks and bodies. Three days later, the practitioners were taken to Pingdu City Prison. At the prison, the guards put shackles on Mr. Zhong Zhenfu and whipped him in the head with metal wires. His life was in danger after the torture.

In Pingdu City Prison, Mr. Zhong was detained in a metal cage. The guards ordered the criminal inmates to torture him. They tried to force him to curse the founder of Falun Gong. When Mr. Zhong refused, they whipped him with metal wires. The beating lasted for over an hour. After a kind person persuaded them to stop, they finally quit. By then, Mr. Zhong was hurt so badly that he was not able to stand up by himself, let alone with shackles on. His feet were seriously injured.

The guards had to send him to the hospital to get checked. The doctor told them Mr. Zhong's injuries were very serious. To avoid any responsibility, the prison officials released him on medical parole. Mr. Zhong had to stay in the hospital for treatment for over a month, and paid over 10,000 yuan in medical expenses.
