Chaoyang City Practitioners Mr. Li Wensheng, Ms. Wu Jinping, and Others Persecuted

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 27, the Shuangta District Court attempted and failed to put Mr. Li Wensheng and his wife, Wu Jinping, on trial for practicing Falun Dafa.

Ms. Wu Jinping had been detained at the Beipiao Detention Center. Officials from the Zhaoyang City 610 Office, the police department, and the court brought Mr. Li Wensheng from Chaoyang City to the Beipiao Court. They wanted to put him and his wife on trial. However, Ms. Wu was at that time in critical condition and bleeding profusely due to persecution. She was given a heart tonic intended to heal her ailing heart, but it had no effect, so she could not appear in court. Li Wensheng was tried in secret. Information about the trial and it results are not available.

Because Ms. Wu Jinping was in critical condition, her family went to visit her in Beipiao Detention Center. One of the officers there sought to bribe the family in exchange for medical treatment, said, "She will get medical treatment if the family pays, otherwise she gets none."

Recently it took officials a little over 10 days to decide to send Ms. Wu Rongjie to Dabei Prison in Shengyang City. Another practitioner, Feng Li, was secretly sent to Dabei Prison. Neither of the practitioners' families has been notified about the transfers.

Mr. Li Yingxuan was sent to Balibao Chinese Medicine Hospital for forced feeding. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and inhuman treatment. He was wearing handcuffs and shackles in the hospital. When his family visited him, the guards were very rude and cruel to them.

According to a witness, Director of the Zhaoyang City Police Department Sun Chengwei, Deputy Director Zhang Minghua, Captain of the State Security Unit Wang Jinlong, and head of the 610 Office in Chaoyang City Qu Lianchen and his subordinates are responsible for ordering the persecution of practitioners in Zhaoyang City.

According to reports within China, Qu Lianchun collaborated with Zhang Minghua to make the decision that practitioners recently arrested would be sentenced to prison term no less than six years. A judge who is well informed about the situation said, "Whatever the court decides doesn't count. The sentence comes from the 610 Office."

For a long time, the head of 610 Office, Qu Lianchun, and his subordinates have been the primary perpetrators in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in Zhaoyang City. Wang Jinlong has also been involved in the arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners.
