Liaoning Province Huludao Detention Center Officials Conceal Their Crimes with Lies
By a Huludao practitioner
(Clearwisdom.net) In February 2008, I was arrested and sent to the
Huludao Detention Center. I did not cooperate and refused to follow the
regulations. I went on a hunger strike in protest the persecution. Han Bing, a
female guard, ordered several female inmates to watch me around the clock. I was
not allowed to talk or sleep. They forced me to eat. If I did not eat, they
cursed and humiliated me. Any practitioners on a hunger strike were forced-fed twice a day by the
guards. Male inmates were ordered to tie the practitioner to a metal chair, bind
the hands and feet to the chair with wire, force the head up, and insert a tube
into the nose. Because of this brutal treatment, practitioners' nasal cavities
and esophaguses bled, and their stomaches swelled due to the large amount of
food forced down. Several years ago, an article on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website reported
that a female Falun Gong practitioner suffocated to death because of brutal
force-feeding at Huludao Detention Center. This incident caused a big stir and
was condemned by the local people. However, those responsible were not
repentant. To cover their crimes, they will do or say anything, even fabricate
statements and attribute them to Falun Gong practitioners. The general content of such a statement is: "A hunger strike is
voluntary and a personal deed. I myself will bear all the consequences of
forced-feeding. It has nothing to do with the guards of the detention center. I
will not ask my family to hold them accountable. This statement is legally
binding, etc." The guards tried to force me to sign a phony statement like this, but I
refused. Han Bing ordered a group of male inmates to tie me up, pulled open my
fingers, and pressed my fingerprint on the paper. I denounced them and said they
were breaking the law. Han Bing laughed and poured cold water over my head. She
held the statement and said, "With this signed statement, it does not
matter if you die because of force-feeding. It is useless even if your family
does go to appeal. It is permitted by the Liaoning Provincial 610
Office." Later, Han Bing ordered male inmates to force-feed me and threatened,
"If you still do not cooperate, I will tell them to carry you to the male
cells, make you stand upright, and pour cold water on you." Several days later, I heard that another male practitioner had died of
force-feeding there.
