San Francisco: Candlelight Vigil Held to Commemorate Practitioners Killed in the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, Falun Gong practitioners from San Francisco held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese consulate in memory of those who were tortured to death during the nine-year long persecution of Falun Gong in China. Practitioners called for the end to the persecution.

Mrs. Zhang Hong talked about how much she benefits from practicing Falun Gong both physically and spiritually. She said that practitioners abide by the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, but the Chinese government still persecutes them. Even though 3168 practitioners have been tortured to death, practitioners have not given in. They keep clarifying the truth, and more and more people and governments have stepped forward to support them.

Mr. Zhang, an engineer, said that during the nine-year persecution, practitioners in San Francisco have kept clarifying the truth and protesting in front of the Chinese consulate. As a result, many people have learned the truth.

Mr. Gao explained that July 20 was the date that the Chinese government launched the persecution, so he came to the Chinese consulate to protest.

Mr. Huang said that more and more Chinese people recognize the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and that 40 million Chinese have now quit the party. They realized that the Party is responsible for many disasters in China and that people will be free only after the CCP is dissolved.
