CCP Authorities in Guang'an Region, Sichuan Province, Arrest Several Practitioners in Recent Months

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, in several counties in the Guang'an region including Guang'an, Huaying, Linshui, and Yuechi, more than ten Falun Dafa practitioners were illegally arrested. In the last two months, Clearwisdom published reports about several practitioners being detained. The following is a summary:

On June 28, 2008, Peng Shiqiong was arrested in Huaying City, Guang'an City.

On the morning of June 10, 2008, Deng Qixing from Huaying City, Guang'an City, was arrested. A few days later he was illegally sentenced to forced labor.

On June 26, 2008, several practitioners from Guang'an City were arrested. At present, Clearwisdom has learned that among those who were arrested are Li Mingqiu, Li Wenlian, Luo Lijuan, Yan Xuejin, Li Keming, Lei Xinlian, and Peng Dongying. More details are still under investigation.

In the evening of June 28, 2008, Peng Shishuan was secretly arrested in Huaying.

On May 26, 2008, He Yuanlan and Deng Qixin were arrested by Huaying City authorities in Guang'an City.

On May 19, 2008, police from Yuechi County, the district police station, and the Linxi township police station in Guang'an City broke into Mr. Tang Xiewen's home in Shanjiaba Village, Linxi Township. They ransacked the home, and arrested Mr. Tang. Those who participated in the arrest were staff members from Linxi Township government, Village Chief Yang Caigang, Party Secretary of the village Zhou Changping, and an accountant named Pei Zhongpin. Yang Caigang was the one who reported Mr. Tang to the police.

On May 5, 2008, Guang'an authorities arrested Luo Keyu, who is over 80 years old, and several other practitioners.

In the middle of March, 2008, Guang'an practitioner Ms. Chen Chaoqiong was arrested and her home was ransacked. She has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

Recently, Baishi City of Guang'an City arrested about ten practitioners. Guang'an City authorities planned to set up a brainwashing center to persecute them.
