Xigang People's Court in Dalian City Illegally Sentences Entrepreneur Ms. Wang Chunrong for Appealing for Falun Gong (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wang Chunrong, CEO of Xincheng Accountants, in Dalian City, was illegally arrested in August 2007. On July 10, 2008, she was tried in the Xigang People's Court.

The trial began at 9:30 a.m. When Ms. Wang was brought into the room in handcuffs, she told one of the police officers, "You are supposed to be upholders of the law, yet you break the law yourself by beating a 63-year-old senior lady like me." The officer told her to shut up. At this time, Judge Gao Yanan arrived and Ms. Wang began telling him about the beatings by the police.

In the court, Wang Chunrong cried out, "Falun Gong is good! Falun Gong is a righteous law!" The entire trial lasted no longer than 15 minutes. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) even made use of Ms. Wang's son and husband's words as so-called "evidence" to illegally sentence her to three years of imprisonment.

On August 14, 2007, approximately 36 Falun Gong practitioners, including Wang Chunrong and her two sisters Wang Chunying and Wang Chunyan, were arrested by the Dalian Public Security Bureau under instigation by the CCP's Dalian Municipal Council and its Municipal Political and Judicial Committee. Ms. Wang's Dalian Xincheng Accounting Firm was forcibly closed down and two other practitioners Yi Wubin and Sun Mian working therein were also arrested. The firm reopened three months later. Currently, two company-owned business-use cars of the Xincheng Accounting Firm are still in the possession of the National Protection Team. Ms. Wang's youngest sister Wang Chunyan was illegally sentenced to five years of imprisonment, and her younger sister Wang Chunying was sentenced to two years at the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
