(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 33 cities or counties and 11 provinces. In this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 56 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhu Kang and Ms. Wang Ting Arrested
On June 17, Mr. Zhu Kang (47 years old) and Ms. Wang Ting from the Jingshan District in Shanghai were arrested by police from the Jingshan Police Station. They are currently detained in the Jingshan District Detention Station. The police took their computer and printer, among other items.
2. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Sujie Arrested
On June 18, 2008, the Linghai City Court illegally tried Ms. Li Sujie from Wangshanpu Village, Shishan Township. The trial ended without a verdict. Li Sujie was then sent back to the No. 2 Detention Station in Jinzhou.

3. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] 610 Office Personnel Harass Falun Gong Practitioners
At the beginning of June 2008, officers from the Ningyuanqiao Police Station in the City of Xichang went to Mr. Zhang Yi's employer and told the employer to monitor Mr. Zhang's activities.
On June 17, the National Security Bureau of Xichang went Mr. Yuan Daqun's job site and arranged for him to be monitored and threatened.
4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Crimes Committed by the Police Station in Lushunkou District
On June 17, police from the Minzhuqiao Police Station in Lushun and staff from the Huangjing Street Community broke into the home of Ms. Xu Lianfeng, about 70 years old. They found Falun Dafa books in the home and arrested her. She was released at 8 p.m.
On June 18, Mr. Sun Liqing, in his 60s; Ms. Sun Guiling, nearly 60; and Ms. Sun Qiaoling, about 55, who are siblings, were arrested and their homes were ransacked. They were taken to Yaojia Detention Station in Dalian. At around 11 p.m. the same night, they returned home.
5. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Ning Arrested
On May 6, Mr. Wang Ning, 42 years old, was arrested by officials from the Domestic Security Division of the City of Zunhua and the Tiechang Township Police Station. His home was also ransacked.
6. [Beijing] Mr. Jin Yuming and Ms. Kong Mei Arrested and Placed in Forced Labor
On Sept. 21, 2006, Mr. Jin Yuming and Ms. Kong Mei were arrested. Later they were placed in a forced labor program.
7. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zemin Detained
On the night of May 13, 2008, Ms. Zhang Zemin, in her 70s, from the Haidian District in Beijing was arrested, and her home ransacked was ransacked.
8. [Beijing] Additional Information on the Persecution of Mr. Yue Naiming
On April 27, 2008, Mr. Yue Naiming, 45 years old, was arrested and placed in the Haidian Detention Station of Qinghe. While he was detained, Mr. Yue began a hunger strike to protest this persecution. He was later sent to the 999 Rescue Center. He has now been sentenced to two years of forced labor. Mr. Xu Yongren, about 50 years old, lived on Huayuan Street in Beijing's Haidian District. In 2005, he was sentenced to two years of forced labor and completed this sentence in September 2007. Recently he was sentenced again to two and a half years of forced labor.
Ms. Xin Shuzhen lived on Huayuan Street in the Haidian District. On January 24, 2008, her whole family of three was arrested by police. Her father and husband do not practice Falun Gong and were released after several days of detention. Ms. Xin was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor.
Ms. Li Yali from the Huaibai area in the Xuanwu District is 70 years old. In May 2008, she was arrested for distributing truth-clarification materials. Her current situation remains unknown.
10. [Shanghai] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Mr. Ge Xiaotian
On the morning of June 17, 2008, Mr. Ge Xiaotian from the Jinshan District of Shanghai was reported to the police and arrested as he clarified the truth in a Legou Supermarket. Police from the Domestic Security Division searched his home and took away his computer, Falun Dafa books, and currency inscribed with truth-clarification messages. Currently Mr. Ge being held in the Jinshan District Detention Station.

11. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Jianling Arrested
On May 22, 2008, Ms. Guo Jianling was arrested by personnel from the Domestic Security Division of the Police Department of the Guancheng District. Her current situation remains unknown.
12. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Haiyan, Ms. Yang Hairong, and Their Father Arrested
At the beginning of June 2008, Ms. Yang Haiyan and Ms. Yang Hairong, who are sisters, were arrested along with their father.
13. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Peng Minhuan and Ms. Peng Minzhi Arrested
On the afternoon of June 16, 2008, following instructions from the 610 Office in Laizhou City, officials with the Jincheng Township Police Station went to Jincheng's Village in Xiaoguan and arrested Ms. Peng Minhua, detaining her in the Laizhou Detention Station. Her sister, Ms. Peng Minzhi, from the Jiaojia Gold Mine, was then arrested by officials from the Laizhou 610 Office on the afternoon of June 18.
14. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xuerong Arrested
In June 2008, Ms. Liu Xuerong from the Moupin District was followed and arrested while she was clarifying truth.
15. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Sui Lianfang and Ms. Li Xiujun Arrested
On the morning of June 16, 2008, Ms. Sui Lianfang and Ms. Li Xiujun from the Bei District of Qingdao City were arrested in Wangge Village by officers from the Wangge Village Police Station. Their homes were also ransacked. They are being held in the Dashan Detention Station in Qingdao.
16. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Hongxia and Men Hua Arrested
On June 17, 2008, Ms. Yu Hongxia and Men Hua were arrested by police and their homes were ransacked.
17. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Yanhua Arrested
On the morning of June 16, 2008, Ms. Wu Yanhua, about 50 years old, was arrested by police from Jinan City as she clarified the truth in the Sports Center of Shandong Province.
18. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qi Hongjin Arrested
On June 4, 2008, Ms. Qi Hongjin from Shijiazhuang City was arrested by police from Lianmenglu Police Station of the Xinhua Police Department. She was detained and persecuted for 15 days in the Shijiazhuang City Detention Station.
19. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Yanjie and Others Arrested
In June 2008, Ms. Qu Quanqing, Ms. He Suzhen, Ms. Shi Xiufang, and Ms. Xu Yanjie from the Huali Service Center of Huabei Oil Farm and Shenze County were arrested. They are currently detained in the Shenze County Detention Station.

20. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Tiejun Arrested

21. [Zhengdin County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Jingpin Sentenced to Jail
Ms. Yang Jingpin from Zhengdin County was sentenced to two years of incarceration by the Zhengdin County Court. They sent her to the Women's Prison in Hebei Province.
22. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cai Chunmian Arrested
At noon on June 17, 2008, police from the Nanzhiqiu Police Station in Xinji City arrested Ms. Cai Chunmian and ransacked her home. After they extorted 4000 yuan from her family, they released her that same night.
23. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xiao Liu and Ms. Jia Ru Arrested
On the night of June 18, 2008, while they were creating truth-clarification materials, Ms. Xiao Liu and Ms. Jia Ru from Jilin City were arrested by officers from the Beiji Police Station, where they are currently being detained.
24. [Xushui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Qian Xiuzhen Arrested
At 11 p.m. on June 18, Ms. Qian Xiuzhen, in her 60s, was arrested. Her current situation remains unknown.
25. [Welin City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Sun Juqing Arrested
Ms. Sun Juqing, who lives on Taipin street in Wenlin City, is 65 years old. On June 17, 2008, she was arrested at her home by police from the Domestic Security Division of the Police Department of Wenlin City and the Taipin Street Police Station. She is being held in the Yuhuan Detention Station.

On the morning of June 16, Ms. Yuan Zhihui, about 30 years old, was arrested by police from the Longwangmiao Police Station.

27. [Yunzhou City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Mr. Sun Jianxun
On June 13, 2008, Mr. Sun Jianxun from Yunzhou City was arrested in Xiaomeng township in Yunzhou City while he was clarifying truth. He is now in the Yunzhou Detention Station.
28. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Dai Youyuan and Ms. Long Xiang Persecuted
Ms. Dai Youyuan, 66 years old, and Ms. Long Xiang, 54 years old, are Falun Gong practitioners from Huanggang, Hubei, On June 17, 2008, they were taken back from the Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center in Wuhan, Hubei, to Huanggang by officials with the local 610 Office. The two were then taken to a detention station.
29. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Zhirong Arrested
At noon on June 5, 2008, Ms. Jiang Zhirong from Jianyang City was arrested by police who suddenly broke into her home. She is being detained in a brainwashing center in Ziyang City.
30. [Jiang'an County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Mingxia Arrested
At around 4 p.m. on June 18, 2008, police from the Police Department of Jiang-an County arrested Ms. Liu Mingxia in Hongqiao Township. She is being held in the detention station of the Police Department of Jiang-an County.
31. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Yingxiang Arrested
On the morning of June 13, 2008, staff from the 610 Office of the Hanyang District in Wuhan and officers from the Qingduankoujie Police Station went to the home of Ms. Chen Yingxiang and forcefully arrested her. Ms. Chen was taken to a brainwashing center in Taojialin.
32. [Guer Qi, Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Haijun and His Son Arrested
On June 17, 2008, Mr. Wang Haijun and his son, Mr. Wang Chunlei, from Chaoyang Village, Wulumutie Township, Guer Qi in Inner Mongolia, were arrested by police.
33. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Qingfeng Arrested
On the afternoon of June 18, 2008, Mr. Liu Qingfeng and his mother (a non-practitioner) were arrested at their home. The police also seized their home computer. Mr. Liu's mother was released the same day, but he is currently being detained at the Tiedong Police Department.
34. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Xiaoming Arrested
On the afternoon of June 17, 2008, Mr. Deng Xiaoming from Huayang, Shuangliu, Chengdu, and his family members who are non-practitioners were arrested and their home was ransacked. His wife and son were released.
35. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Fengzhi Arrested
Ms. Zhang Fengzhi was arrested.
36. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hu Guohong and Others Arrested
On June 10, the Political and Judiciary Committee of Beipiao City arrested practitioners Ms. Tian Shaochun, Ms. Hu Guohong, and Mr. Bai Jinquan and took them to Masanjia Labor Camp. Ms. Tian's physical condition was so bad after she was tortured that the labor camp authorities refused to accept her. She was sent home.
37. [Daan City, Jilin Province] The Body of Mr. Sha Naiyi Cremated Without Family's Consent
In the morning of April 27, the body of Mr. Sha Naiyi, who was tortured to death, was cremated without his family's consent.
38. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Deyuan Arrested
At around 9 a.m. on June 17, 2008, Ms. Jiang Deyuan was arrested at her home. Police also took away her Falun Gong exercise tapes and truth-clarification materials. She was detained for one month in the Huili Detention Station.
On June 17, 2008, Mr. Hu Zecong, in his 60s, was sent to Nanmusi Labor Camp by the State Security Bureau of Huili County.
39. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Bo Arrested
At around 2 p..m on June 17, Mr. Wu Bo was arrested by officers from the Police Department of Tiexi.
40. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Yu Deyang and Ms. Cong Qiuzi Detained
Ms. Yu Deyang and Ms. Cong Qiuzi were taken from Beijing and detained in a brainwashing center in Gongjiawan, Lanzhou.
41. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Daxue's Home Searched
On June 5, the director of the Yilunbao Police Station in Renqiu and some residents of Wei Village searched the home of Ms. Lu Daxue and took away her Falun Dafa books and exercise tapes.
42. [Yongjin County, Gansu Province] Mr. Feng Tingjun and His Wife, Ms. Xue Linfang, Arrested
On the afternoon of June 13, 2008, police from the Domestic Security Division of Yongjun County went to Sanyuan Township in the county and arrested Mr. Feng Tingjun and his wife, Ms. Xue Linfang, who are teachers at Liuyuan Elementary School and Falun Gong practitioners. The police also searched their home and took away their laptop and printer.
43. [Ding County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wei Huijuan Arrested
In the morning on June 17, Ms. Wei Huijuan was arrested by officers from the Police Department of Ding County.
44. [Juye County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ning Zhiqun Detained
Mr. Ning Zhiqun, 48 years old, is a teacher at Tianye Township High School in Juye County, Shandong Province. At 8 p.m. on December 23, 2007, four people from the Domestic Security Division of Juye County broke into his home. They took away his computer, printer, and other private belongings worth more than 20,000 yuan, and then arrested him. He has been detained in the Juye County Detention Station since then.
45. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Guiqing Arrested and Her Home Ransacked
Ms. Zhang Guiqing, 66 years old, used to work as statistical analyst for the Jinan Leather Company. On June 17, she was suddenly arrested by police from the Silijie Police Station in Lixia District, Jinan City. Her home was also ransacked.
