Mr. Zhang Minghui Beaten and Tortured in Mudanjiang Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Minghui from Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province, was again illegally arrested on January 26, 2008, and now faces a pending illegal sentence. Mr. Zhang was tortured in Mudanjiang Forced Labor Camp beginning in September 2002. He endured a living hell for 15 months in the labor camp, until his release in December 2003.

In the spring of 2003, guard Wang Xuewen (several of his heinous deeds torturing Dafa practitioners have been previously publicized) forced the practitioners to toil over picking up wooden ice cream sticks as a form of torture. The practitioners were forced to get up at 5:00 a.m. and continue working until 9:00 p.m. If the deductions for washroom and meal times were counted, then everyone was forced to work for over 14 hours per day. If the practitioners could not complete the assigned task, guard He Xuhai would order his subordinates, Wang Changyan, Zhang Donghui, Sun Shiyan, to beat the practitioners, ranging from slaps to the face to beatings using wooden panels.

In the fall of 2003, guard Tan took away Dafa scriptures from practitioner Yu Bo. Guards He Xuhai, Qiu Cheng, and Wu Yingzhi viscously beat and tortured four practitioners in the #4 cell (Zhang Minghui, Zheng Jingjiang, Sun Yusheng, and Yu Bo) for the entire night. Guard He Xuhai took off his shirt and beat each practitioner using big wooden panels. Guard Qiu Cheng slapped the practitioners on the face using his slippers, and guard Wu Yingzhi instigated inmates Zhao Shun and Duo Hongjun to viscously beat the practitioners.

Practitioner Mr. Zhang is now faced with a pending sentence. In order to escape persecution by the police, Mr. Zhang's wife had to become homeless, taking with her their infant child.
