Police in Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, Arrest Many Falun Gong Practitioners in Run-up to the Olympics


(Clearwisdom.net) Recently in Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, authorities from the police department, National Security, and the 610 Office and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members of each township went around to illegally arrest Falun Gong practitioners. They incarcerated the practitioners in a brainwashing center in Er'ehu of Yingjie Town, Ziyang City.

On June 23, Jianyang City 610 Office personnel harassed practitioners. They went to Pu'an Town and made plans to arrest Ms. Gao Qiongfang. She was not home at the time and, in order to avoid being persecuted, she was forced to leave home.

They authorities went to Ms. Wang Guihua's residence in Dongxi Town. Because this practitioner used righteous thoughts to resist them, she was not arrested but the police did ransack her house.

Then they went to Ms. Peng Xiuqiong's residence in Lengshuijing in Dongxi Town to harass her. Because they were afraid that the neighbors would find out how she had disappeared, they waited till 8:00 p.m. and then took her away.

At 8:00 a.m. on June 24, 2008, the police took away practitioner Xie Dongyun of Wuli Village. At that time, Xie Dongyun was working in the fields.

At 9:00 a.m. on June 24, personnel from Gujia Town, Jianyang City, informed practitioner Ms. Xie Siqiong of Wuli Village to go to a meeting. She arrived on time, but once she reached the meeting location, she saw that the police were waiting for her. They had a tussle and the police finally dragged Ms. Xie away and forced her into the police car.

When neighbors and co-workers asked why the police arrested these practitioner, who are upstanding and peaceful citizens, the Communist regime personnel claimed that they were following orders from their superiors. These activities are due to the on-going "clean-up" efforts carried out against Falun Gong in China. August is quickly approaching, and the Olympics will be held in China soon. The local police and CCP personnel are under pressure to finish the secret assignments given to them by their superiors.
