Only By Renouncing the Old Forces Can We Emerge from the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) As Teacher rectifies the Fa, some remaining old force factors don't want to accept their failures. They continue struggling to the end. Recently, they have used the justification of preparing for the upcoming Olympic Games in China to interfere with Falun Dafa practitioners on a large scale, preventing sentient beings from being saved. As Dafa disciples, we all know that we should completely reject the arrangements of the old forces. The old forces are not to be acknowledged during the Fa-rectification.

But why do the old forces continue persecuting practitioners in these situations? Teacher has taught us many times about how to break the old forces' arrangements. For example, Teacher said,

"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Teacher said,

"...because forced persecution that's not acknowledged is a crime, and the cosmos's old laws don't allow it either--irrational persecution absolutely is not allowed, and the old forces don't dare to do it if that is the situation." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")

Teacher said,

"When disciples have ample righteous thoughts
Master has the power to turn back the tide."
("The Master-Disciple Bond" from Hong Yin Volume II, English Translation Version A)

If we look back at the persecution, the fundamental reason for the persecution is that we still acknowledge the old forces' arrangement to a certain extent, especially when we have not completely driven the old forces out and not fully assimilated to Teacher's Fa. True, we Dafa disciples still have human hearts. But if we don't acknowledge the old forces, and instead reject them, and renounce them, they will dare not persecute us. If they indeed do bad things to us, Teacher will destroy them completely. For example, in April 2006, a local television program broadcast that installing a satellite dish was illegal. At that time, we had just learned how to install the satellite dishes to receive New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) programs. But the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) suddenly came up with such a law, and we thought, what should we do? We shared among ourselves and came to an understanding that installing the satellite dish for NTDTV was needed to save sentient beings. It's what Teacher wants. It is sacred. Should we believe what the CCP says? If we believed the CCP's words, wouldn't we be acknowledging the old forces? If we acknowledge the old forces, they would have an excuse to influence our cultivation. In that case, how would Teacher have been able to help us? Even the Fa guardians would have been unable to assist us!

After coming to this righteous understanding, promoting NTDTV went very smoothly. In August 2007, the CCP said on television that they would confiscate "illegal" satellite dishes and they would fine people. Some practitioners who installed the dishes started to worry. Then on September 30, 2007, the police confiscated satellite dishes from five practitioners. Some other practitioners took down their dishes voluntarily after hearing about this incident. However, some other practitioners at several villages had very strong righteous thoughts. They said, "Since this is not arranged by Teacher, why should we believe in it?" They shared among themselves, completely rejected the old forces in their minds, and kept sending forth righteous thoughts. The police never went to their villages!

From this example, we can see that if we truly reject the old forces' arrangements, the evil will be unable to touch us. But many times, when we hear rumors, we believe them. Then we start worrying about the problems and the police come. Teacher said,

"There's a law in our universe: when it comes to what you seek, nobody is going to intervene." ("Your Thoughts Have to be Proper," Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun, 2003 translation)

As cultivators, especially cultivators during the Fa-rectification period, what we want, and what we pursue, are decided by ourselves. A cultivator of Falun Dafa should listen to Teacher, act according to Dafa, and harmonize with what Teacher wants. If you just do that, who in the universe will dare to touch you? If we listen to and believe in other things, especially the evil's words, it is acknowledging them, and allowing them to enter our dimensional fields. If we still do not awaken, they will find an excuse to persecute us, or even destroy us.

The old forces watch us clearly in other dimensions. We can't hide any thoughts from them. But they also know that they can't interfere with us at will, because Teacher will not allow it. Therefore, they want to cause our thoughts to deviate from the Fa, so that they can get us to move closer to them, so they can persecute us. Their primary approach is to find ordinary human thoughts and notions in our minds. For example, if we don't stay calm and rational, our primary spirits will not be clear. If we only look at others instead of looking inward, or if we let human notions control us, then the evil will find opportunities. On the human surface, we see the CCP holding meetings and passing down orders of persecution. What the old forces try to do is to amplify our attachments to find an excuse to persecute us. If we can stay alert and let our cultivated sides take control, we will see their tricks and reject them, without listening to or believing their lies. We should also send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate them. They will then be disintegrated and no persecution will take place.

But sometimes we don't do this. Some practitioners with strong righteous thoughts won't encounter interference. They continue doing the three things, and because they have strong righteous thoughts and reject the old forces completely, evil elements are not able to get into their fields. The evil doesn't even dare to get close. But some practitioners don't reject the old forces completely. For example, some practitioners may think, "We don't believe in the evil's arrangements. We just follow Teacher." But they still worry about the Dafa books and truth-clarification materials at home. They treat them as dangerous materials and evidence that the CCP can use to persecute them. So quite often we hear, "Hide those things, don't let the police find them." On the surface, it seems that we want to reject the old forces' arrangements. But looking deeper, the comment, "Don't let the police find them," indicates that we're acknowledging the evil factors. Of course, I'm not asking people not to hide these things. I just want to let these people know that in this case they have acknowledged the evil.

Teacher told us to be the main actors. But we can't play the main actor roles well if we just want to be supporting actors. The true reason is that we always think of the Fa-rectification events from a human perspective, using ordinary human mentalities to deal with the issues of saving sentient beings and the interference of the old forces. How can we then be the main actors? We are the Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, cultivators assisting Teacher in rectifying the Fa, with the aspiration of saving many sentient beings. We should abandon all human notions and develop righteous thoughts. That way, we can be true Dafa disciples, worthy of Teacher's efforts and sentient beings' expectations.

Believing in Teacher and believing in the Fa are the keys for removing all tribulations. It's also the only standard to measure whether someone is a true Dafa disciple. We should clearly understand this basic principle.
