Officials Force Practitioner Ms. Yin Guiqiu's Husband to Divorce Her

(Clearwisdom.net) Note: The following is a shortened version of a longer and more detailed article that appeared on the minghui.ca website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

Ms. Yin Guiqiu is a 45-year-old resident of Xiangyin County, Hunan Province. She joined other practitioners from the area and went to Beijing to explain the facts about Falun Gong in late December 2000. Train police arrested her and held her at the county detention center for more than three months.

The police arrested her again on March 6, 2002, as she was posting Falun Gong flyers in Xiangyin County. They took her to the county detention center, where the guards brutally tortured her. She was sentenced to six months of forced labor on June 9, 2002. Her husband divorced her due to pressure from the local officials. Ms. Yin had to leave her home to avoid further persecution.
