Ankara, Turkey: Falun Dafa Well Received by Local People

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 16, 2008, Falun Dafa practitioners in Ankara, Turkey held activities downtown to spread the beauty of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong), and expose the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong. People were happy to take flyers and asked about the practice sites.

Many people said that they were interested in learning a meditation. The manager of a sports office of the park where practitioners introduced Falun Dafa invited practitioners to come and teach the Falun Dafa exercises every week.

When applying for permission to hold activities with different departments of the Ankara government, practitioners visited over a dozen departments, clarifying the truth to government officials, exposing the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong, and introducing Falun Dafa, explaining that it has spread to over 80 countries around the world. The practitioners also told them that people of many cultures and ethnicities cherish the practice and many more people wish to help stop the persecution.

Government officials expressed their support and approved the practitioners' request to display large signs and pictures exposing the Chinese Communist Party's crimes in downtown Ankara. The practitioners were also free to distribute truth-clarification materials and demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises. Several officials of a certain department asked many questions while listening to the practitioners explain the situation in China. An official said that he had been looking for such a practice that benefits people both physically and mentally. He also said that he attaches great importance to spiritual cultivation. A practitioner suggested that he could visit Falun Dafa websites or come to the practice site, and he would surely benefit. He said, "I will definitely do so."
