Attachment to Time and Cultivation Level

(Clearwisdom.net) For several years, the issue of when we would complete our cultivation has been frequently discussed. Recently, some practitioners were talking about the issues of whether the Beijing Olympics can be held or not, and when the Fa rectification will end.

I feel that our concept of time truly portrays our cultivation levels and whether we truly believe in Dafa. Does a Buddha have an attachment to time? Would a Buddha be attached to consummation? A cultivator close to the realm of Buddhas would not have these attachments. He (or she) would just peacefully do well the three things that Master requests us to do. The three things naturally become a part of practitioners' daily lives. Cultivators look inward when encountering conflicts, and aren't attached to time or consummation at all. By simply following Master's requests, everything will fall into place by itself. The realm and belief of cultivators are manifest in the ordinary world, while cherishing our cultivation and saving sentient beings. If the end time extends a little longer than one's notion, one might start to doubt the Fa. Isn't this true?

Let's review Master's words,

"Disciple asks: Ordinary people say that the Olympic games will give China a chance to shine on the world stage, and after that the wicked Party will collapse. What should we make of that?

Teacher: Ordinary people can say whatever they wish. Well, the Olympics are a few years away, so it's questionable whether the wicked Party will make it that long. And whether or not it will be given a chance to shine is not up to humans. Human society wasn't created for it. What's there to shine, anyway?" ("Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005")

Master didn't mention if the Olympics could be held successfully or not, but rather questioned whether the wicked party would survive that long. More than 40 million people have resigned from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and it's affiliated organizations, and more and more people understand the truth. It is certain that the Olympics will not give the wicked Party a time to shine. With the disclosure of the truth, don't the incidents occurring around the world precisely expose the evil nature of the CCP?

As for the time when the wicked Party collapses, Master said,

"If Dafa disciples' cultivation were to end today, if just this many people were to be saved--if the number of the world's people to be saved was just this many--and everything were to end at this point, it would take less than a day for the evil party to disintegrate. (Applause) That's because the purpose of its existence, the reason history created it in the first place, and the process of sustaining it all have been for the sake of Dafa disciples validating the Fa today. That is what the old forces arranged. When it's no longer of any use, why would it be kept? It is nothing in the universe." ("Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital")

Actually, in 2001, Master mentioned the relationships of time, consummation and the things that Dafa disciples needed to do,

"When Dafa has consummated everything amidst the tribulation, all of the evil that persecutes Dafa will end." ("What Are Supernormal Abilities")

I understand that time is controlled by Master. Master decides the end time based on the performance of all Dafa disciples and the Fa-rectification process. The more that cultivators are attached to time, the longer the time will be extended. Therefore, I hope that the practitioners who are attached to time can eliminate their attachment, and just focus on doing the three things well.
