(Clearwisdom.net) During the evening of July 8, 2008, several practitioners went to a neighboring county to clarify the truth. When we were about to leave, a 58-year-old practitioner suddenly did not feel well. She sat down and a practitioner reminded her to send forth righteous thoughts. She was sweating a lot and soon began vomiting. She died before she arrived at the hospital.
Many practitioners started to think about if we had omissions as one body. Some thought that we were in too much of a hurry to go to the neighboring county to clarify the truth. Some blamed themselves for not sending righteous thoughts for the practitioner when she was taken to the hospital. Some practitioners who went with her on the ambulance worried that her family wouldn't understand Dafa. Some practitioners were so frightened that they ran away when the ambulance arrived. Most practitioners believed that the practitioner who passed away had a deal with the old forces and it was the old forces' arrangements that caused her to die.
I met Auntie (the practitioner who passed away) last winter. She was a simple person. She practiced Buddhism in a temple for a dozen years before she practiced Falun Dafa. She wasn't healthy and often fainted. After she began practicing, her illnesses disappeared and she was very diligent in the practice. She wouldn't let her family members touch her computer because she believed that it was "her Fa implement." She did the three things Teacher asked very well. That night on July 8, she was sending righteous thoughts all the way to the neighboring county and showed no signs of illness. The old forces took away such a good practitioner because they fear us saving more sentient beings.
When all of us were together that night, the old forces couldn't do anything. When we separated into smaller groups, the old forces quickly put her in a state in which she couldn't send righteous thoughts. Later, Auntie's daughter said that she saw a vision of Teacher, and He took Auntie with Him. We cannot see the cause and effect of this incident in other dimensions, and we don't know the real situation. We don't know what attachments Auntie had at microcosmic levels. Teacher does not ultimately want such an ending for a practitioner. A practitioner in this human world could have saved so many people. Perhaps Auntie's ordeals and karma from many lifetimes could not be erased even if she paid with her life, and this was how her path was arranged--the old forces merely used it as a test for other practitioners.
However, if a practitioner could remember Teacher when the old forces were threatening their life, Teacher would take care of it. When someone shouts 'Falun Dafa is good,' Teacher will protect him. Perhaps even more so for a Falun Dafa practitioner. On the surface, Auntie wasn't being imprisoned or tortured, which made the situation more confusing for other practitioners. If the old forces are about to take our lives, we should have a strong will that we want to live on, and keep our physical body to better clarify the truth. We should achieve Consummation and leave the human world following Teacher's arrangements, not the old forces' arrangements. If we constantly have righteous thoughts and think about Teacher and the Fa, the old forces couldn't have been able to control our minds.
A practitioner told a story about being beaten nearly to death by guards in a forced labor camp. He couldn't get up afterward. He clearly felt that he was dying, but he told himself over and over in his mind, "I must live. I must live. I can't die. Teacher I can't die." He wasn't scared and he didn't want to die in that situation. Such an ordeal was solved with his righteous thoughts.
I remember an article which talked about the different situations of practitioners whose organs were removed. Those who called to Teacher in their mind experienced Teacher's law body breaking through the dark mist and taking them away. Though these practitioners lost their physical bodies, Teacher picked up their main spirits. Perhaps the old forces took Auntie's life after they isolated her main spirit. Under this circumstance, practitioners around her should have supported her with righteous thoughts.
Three practitioners I knew once went to a common bathing pool. One of them fell and went unconscious. This practitioner's main spirit was about 10 feet above his physical body and clearly saw everything that happened afterward. However, he didn't have any thoughts--his mind was blank. The other two practitioners quickly took him aside and sent righteous thoughts. He still has an unfinished mission and needs to save more sentient beings. We won't allow the old forces to take his life, absolutely not! The practitioner woke up a few minutes later.
When a practitioner faces death from the old forces, they could change the outcome if they have enough belief in the Fa and Teacher. If our main spirit left our body and saw other dimensions, regardless of how beautiful they are, they are not as good as the ones Teacher arranged for us after we Consummate. As I understand it, if someone leaves the world in a way that wasn't arranged by Teacher, whether he thought about Teacher or not would make a big difference in the level he attains. It is a test. One should leave this world thinking about Teacher, thanking Teacher for the Fa, and for arranging his path for cultivation instead of having thoughts like, "I am dead and it's a waste of time that I practiced Dafa." If one chooses to think about the Fa and Teacher upon departure from this world, the old forces would not be able to say to Teacher, "See, I am right. He didn't treat you as his Teacher and didn't believe you have the boundless power to resolve everything."
Also, we shouldn't think about or be attached to if we signed a contract or not with the old forces. Whenever something happens, we shouldn't have a mindset about how powerful the old forces are, which amounts to acknowledging the old forces. Instead, we should be thinking about the divine vow we swore to our compassionate Teacher and at key moments, our main spirits have the final say. The old forces are a great ordeal for Fa rectification and practitioners. The sole reason the old forces still exist is because Teacher wants to save every life in the cosmos and he used them to give practitioners an opportunity to establish mighty virtue. The future new cosmos belongs to Teacher, the Fa, and is ruled by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The old forces will be eliminated. This is why we need to fulfill our vows to Teacher and save more sentient beings.
We need to think about the catastrophes that we have avoided because we practice Dafa. This means that Teacher has endured a lot for us. If we don't cherish this opportunity to clarify the truth and give up our attachments, we would be breaching the vows that we made to our lord. For everything that happens, we need to learn something from it and improve ourselves. If we can't fulfill our oaths, we are being disrespectful to Teacher and the Fa. We need to grasp every opportunity to correct ourselves, to save sentient beings, and not let the old forces have it their way. This will expose many of our attachments and allow us to improve as one body.
