Police Arrest Practitioners in Shuangyashang City, Heilongjiang Province (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) After the bad deeds of Xie Yuntong, chief of the Political and Security Section of the Police Department in Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province, and Qiang Gang, chief of the National Security Division, were exposed locally, Qiang Gang exercised some restraint. But with the following arrests, he became hot-headed again.

On June 11, 2008, police from the 610 Office in Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province, arrested Lao Jiang. They also arrested Wang Junhong, Tian Qi, Jiang Jie, Wang Yarong, Er Zhenzi, Yu Zhanhog, Jiang Guifu, Meng Xianguo, Liu Junzhong and Liu Junying. One of these practitioners was arrested while he was simply walking along the street. The police also confiscated printers, computers, copying machines and paper worth a total of 100,000 yuan. Deputy Director Deng Longbo led the police from the 610 Office in Baoqing to arrest practitioners and ransack their homes. Among the police who participated in this persecution were Deng Longbo, deputy director of the police department, and Zhang Ruiguang. On the morning of June 12, Xie Yuntong, chief of the Political and Security Section of the Police Department of Baoqing County, personally led police to various places to ransack practitioners' homes.

At 9:00 a.m. on June 23, 2008, police from the Political and Security Section of Baoqing County and from the Political and Security Section of Shuangyashan City went to Liu Junzhong's work unit and arrested him (he was handcuffed on the spot). Police took away the computer from Liu's office. That very night, Liu Junzhong was sent to Shuangyashan City and his whereabouts are unknown. The practitioners arrested on June 11 have not been released.

Additional Information on Persecution:

The arrest of practitioner Sun Lixiang from Mishan, Heilongjiang Province implicated many people. The arrest of Wang Zhi from Jidong and six other practitioners from Baoqing was somewhat related. Many practitioners in Mishan had contacted Sun Lixiang. Tian Qi's phone was monitored by police in Shuangyashan City. The 610 Office in Shaungyashan City sent police to Baoqing to arrest practitioners, and through telephone connections, they learned of many other practitioners. (About ten days later Er Zhenzhi returned home.)

It was the Forced Labor Camp Management Bureau in Shangyashan City who gave orders for the arrest of Dafa practitioners.

Related Personnel Who Were Involved in the Persecution:

Li Yanchun, Deputy Mayor, Party Secretary of the City Police Department, Director of the City Police Department

Li Yanchun was born in 1960. He came to his position in Shuangyashan City in December 2006. Before that he was deputy director of the Political and Legal Committee in Qitaihe and director of the police department in Qitaihe. In 2008, there were five incidents where Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested in Shuangyashan City, and Li Yanchun was the one who gave the orders and supervised the process. He very likely persecuted practitioners in Qitaihe as well.
