Take the Lead Role

(Clearwisdom.net) With the start of the Olympics fast approaching, the practitioners in China are facing intensified harassment and increasing numbers of arrests. To be able to continue with my cultivation, I was prepared to leave my home. Was this thinking in line with the Fa? I was not sure. In the evening I concentrated on Fa study. Regardless of what might happen, I had decided to follow the Fa in my cultivation.

After finishing the exercises late in the evening, I re-read "Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference." Teacher said,

"This period of history was arranged for Dafa disciples to save sentient beings, so why haven't you taken the lead role?"

Upon seeing this line I immediately decided not to leave home. I then reflected on why I had the idea that I should move. I found that I had attachments to time, comfort, lust, hatred, competitiveness, and affection for my family. Also, I had missed worldwide SFRT (sending forth righteous thoughts) and group practice several times.

Due to these attachments I was not able to reach righteous enlightenment. With this understanding I decided to let the attachments go, and I soon felt a sense of peace. This encouragement must have come from Teacher. A few days back I had been summoned to the local office of the Ministry of Public Security. Without those attachments I was happy to go as I knew the sentient beings were waiting to be saved. Before I left home I sent righteous thoughts and asked for Teacher's support. I was courteously sent home after little more than an hour.

This is my understanding. I hope fellow practitioners will kindly point out anything that is improper.
