Shulan City Police Search Home Without Warrant

(Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net). At around 9:00 a.m on June 10, 2008, officers from the Jishu Police Station
in Shulan City, Jilin Province, entered Mr. Zhou Yunqi's home by saying they
were employees from the city water company. They deceived Mr. Zhou by claiming
they were there to check the water pipe lines. The officers searched Mr. Zhou's
home without showing a warrant, and arrested 72 year-old Mr. Zhou and his
daughter, Ms. Zhou Lixin. Mr. Zhou was detained on the second floor of the
police station until 3:00 p.m. Ms. Zhou was taken to the Shulan City Nanshan
Detention Center after 3:00 p.m. Ms. Zhou's apartment was also searched. The perpetrators included the deputy directors of the police station, Wang
Jihong, Wu Xiangyang, and Wu Chunming, and officers Li Weijun, Li Dahai, and
Zhang Xuetao.
