Ms. Qi Shuying, teacher of Baoding Institute, suffered abuse for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong to her students. On the evening of July 4, 2008, Mr. Qi Weilong, her nephew, went to her home to pick up some clothes. The plainclothes agents from Qingnian Road Police Station monitoring nearby took the chance to break into her home. They seized a computer, cash, and ID cards from the search. Ms. Qi was detained for 24 hours.

Ms. Qi, 37-years-old, is a physical education teacher in Baoding Institute. In 2007, her entire family was arrested in Shanghai. Her child was only two years old. She and her husband were detained in a detention center. Later, they were sentenced to 2 years of forced labor.

In 2003, her husband, Mr. Liu Yongwang was beaten. The guards in Baoding Forced Labor Camp disabled his left leg. In 2004, he was released for medical treatment. In 2005, he was framed by a Chinese communist organization in Baoding City. He was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment on false charges of tapping into TV signals. At present, he is detained in No.1 Team in Jidong Prison.
