(Clearwisdom.net) On July 21, 2008, at about 8:00 p.m., practitioner Zhang Lianhe was on his way back to his hometown Kaifeng from Zhengzhou City after getting off duty. He called his family and told them that he was on a city bus and would be home soon. But at about 9:00 p.m., his family got a text message from him, which stated, "The company asked me to go back to Zhengzhou, my cell phone battery is going to run out, and I will contact you later."

However, Zhang Lianhe had actually been arrested. Liu Yuejin and Li Guixian from the Domestic Security Division of Kaifeng City led a group of officers and were waiting at the bus station for Zhang for a long time. They arrested Zhang as he got off the bus, and took him to the Beidaomen Police Station. At the police station, Chief Jin Weidong and Deputy Chief Wang Lei conducted a body search of Zhang and took away his cell phone and house keys. In order not to raise any suspicion with Zhang's family, they sent a fake message to them using his cell phone. At midnight, they used Zhang's key to unlock the door to his home, and confiscated many items, including two computers, an electronic dictionary, a memory stick, a television, an electric socket, a calendar, a stapler, a hard drive, a paper cutter, and copy paper. A total of eight people participated in the robbery, including Li Guixian and Liu Yuejin, Deputy Chief Wang Lei, police officer Duan Pengju, and director of the Licheng Community, Chen Xiaoxia. After Zhang Lianhe was arrested, his family lost their only source of income.

Zhang Lianhe's wife, Xu Yanying, was a teacher at the middle school affiliated with Henan University. Because she persisted in practicing Falun Gong, the school administrators didn't allow her to join in title evaluations from 1999 to 2005. However, her teaching skills were always at a high level, and the students liked her very much. Even the police officers from the local police station knew her to be a good person, and an excellent teacher. In 2005, because Xun Yanying taught her students to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and to be good people, she was suspended by the school heads, Chen Hailing and Tao Youcai. She lost her income.

Because Zhang Lianhe's family were all practicing Falun Gong, they lived in harmony. His daughter is in good health and has an outstanding record at school because she practices Falun Gong. She is also very good at playing the Chinese zither. She won first place in a national competition many times. Even officers at the local police station used to consider them a model family. However, this good family was torn apart by the Chinese Communist Party's persecution.

Zhang Lianhe has been in custody for more than a month without his family hearing any information about him. His family went to the police department, the domestic security office, the local police station, the social community center and other related offices many times, but was not given any answers. Nor have they been given any reason for his arrest.
