(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Xue Zhanying was an employee of the Datong City Petroleum Gas Company in Shanxi Province. She persisted in the practice of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and as a result, she has been persecuted since July 1999. She was sent to a forced labor camp twice. In the Shanxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp, she suffered from all kinds of torture. On August 13, 2008, Xue Zhanying was released from the forced labor camp. Immediately afterwards, CCP members from her workplace detained her and kept her under constant watch until the afternoon of August 25, after the Olympics Games had ended.
Xue Zhanying was incarcerated at the same labor camp in the year 2001. As she refused to give up her beliefs, she was severely persecuted. She was locked up in a solitary confinement cell and frequently physically assaulted by drug addict criminals at the guards' urging. She was made to stand continuously for extended periods of time and subjected to sleep deprivation. The moment she dozed off, the criminals would whip her with bamboo sticks or pinch her. Her entire body was covered with purple bruises. She could not withstand the torture and suffered a mental disorder for a period of time.
On June 4, 2007, Xue Zhanying clarified the truth about Falun Gong to someone that she ran into. She was then turned in, arrested, and taken to the same labor camp. She was forced to attend brainwashing sessions and physically abused. They deprived her of sleep for over twenty days. She was also held in small solitary cells and later physically abused by drug addict criminals.
