My Gratitude to Dafa

I am a sixty-nine year-old Dafa practitioner. Before I started practicing Falun Gong, I suffered from over twenty kinds of ailments including cataracts, serious psoriasis, severe back pain, a crippled right leg and a tumor in my abdomen. In order to have my problems cured, I tried several different kinds of qigong, but they all failed.

I was very disheartened and became increasingly desperate, and gradually lost hope in life. One day in February 1998, a friend of mine told me, "Falun Gong is very good. You should try it." She took me to watch Teacher's lecture video. As we were watching, I told her, "Teacher's hair is blue and curly." People were surprised and said, "What you saw is Teacher's Fashen (law body), but we are unable to see it." We continued watching that evening. This time I saw Teacher wearing a suit while lecturing on the Fa. I also saw several red Faluns spinning above Teacher's head. It was truly remarkable.

I then got the book Zhuan Falun and read it at home. As I started reading, I felt a strong stream of warmth pouring from the top of my head to all parts of my body. Later I learned that it was Teacher purifying my body. What's even more miraculous is that while I was reading, I suddenly rose up in the air. Just when I was becoming afraid, I dropped to the floor. Not knowing what was happening, I was very nervous and pressed my legs down with my hands to prevent myself from rising up. It didn't work, as I still rose up in the air. As I became afraid, I dropped to the floor again. I was even more nervous and didn't dare to continue reading the book.

Several days passed, and I thought to myself that I still needed to read the book. This time I no longer rose up in the air. Later I realized that I forgot to wear my glasses for reading. In the past, I could not read a newspaper even with glasses. Now I can read very small print without glasses. Before I knew it, my cataract was cured. I simply can't describe my feeling of gratitude.

One night after I studied the Fa, I heard several people talking inside my body. I couldn't hear very clearly what they were saying, but just felt that someone was moving inside my body. Now I know that it was Teacher cleaning my body. In a matter of a few days after I practiced Falun Gong, all of my diseases were cured. I feel so light and happy. I experienced the magnificence and miracle of Dafa. Compassionate Teacher gave me a second life.

For two or three years after I started practicing Falun Gong, I shed tears whenever I read the Fa. Words cannot describe Teacher's boundless compassion. I deeply understand that what Teacher gave us is something we can never repay. We can only do the three things well as practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, save more sentient beings, and fulfill our vows to live up to the sacred title of Dafa disciples.
