On June 24, 2008, Mr. Dong Liantai from Dancheng Town, Shuangcheng City, was illegally arrested. On July 10, 2008, his family was notified that he was sentenced to forced labor and was taken to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. His family went to the camp to inquire about him, but were told that he was not there. His whereabouts is unknown.

Ms. Fu Huiping is from the Tongzhou District. She works at the Tianxiaxi Company, a public welfare organization. On April 23, 2008, she was arrested at home by police officers from the State Security Division, the Tongzhou District Police Department, and the Gantang Police Station. She was detained in the Tongzhou District Detention Center.

Her home was searched and police seized her computer, two printers, Teacher's photos, and Dafa books and materials. During her detention, her blood platelet count increased to more than 800,000, and as a result, her life was in danger. She also vomited continuously. She was released on May 14, 2008, but was stil repeatedly harassed. In addition, she was monitored around-the-clock.

On August 13, 2008, she was forcibly taken away by police officers from the Songzhuang Police Station and detained in the Tongzhou District Detention Center.

On August 6, 2008, using the Olympic Games as an excuse, officers from Yangshuling Township Police Station arrested Mr. Yang Guoming, Ms. Zhang Guixian, and another female practitioner. On August 9, 2008, officers from the Yushulinzi Town Police Station arrested Mr. Zhang Guoxiang.

The four practitioners are al in the Jianping County Detention Center.

On July 28, 2008, Ms. Jiang Li was tricked into walking outside her home in Chengdu City by police officers from the Dongxing District. Once outside, they grabbed her and took her to Brainwashing Center run by the Neijiang City 610 Office.

On August 11, 2008, Mr. Xie Xianbin from the Acheng District was reported to police for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Weijian Village, Sheli Township. After being arrested, police officers from the Acheng District 610 Office and Sheli Township Police Station searched his home and seized some of his informational materials. He is being detained in the Acheng Detention Center.

On July 24, 2008, Ms. Zhang Shuhong from Liuyuan Village, Guanjiawu Township, was taken to the Yongqing County Detention Center. Her home was searched and police confiscated her satellite TV antenna, (satellite) receiver, MP player, cell phone, and Dafa books. Her infant boy was left at home with only her 70-year-old grandfather to look after him.

On August 13, 2008, her family went to Guanjiawu Police Station to inquire about her whereabouts. The police gave them a notification sheet that stated that Ms. Zhang was sentenced to one year and nine months in Wanzhuang Forced Labor Camp.

On July 28, 2008, police officers from Shaoyang City 610 Office broke into Ms. Xiao Jianrong's home, forced her into a car, then took her away. On the same day, Ms. Yuan Qiuju was also arrested.

On August 12, 2008, officers from the Liaotun Town Police Station and the State Security Division broke into Mr. Li Linshi's home and arrested him. He is being held in the Beizhen City Detention Center.

On August 10, 2008, police officers broke into Ms. Fu Xiuhua's home and took her to a brainwashing center where five other practitioners were detained.

Ms. Qi Jinling from Xianfeng Villag, Acheng District, was arrested at home on August 3, 2006. She was sentenced to two years in Qianjin Forced Labor Camp, where she was subjected to brutal torture. When her term expired, her family went to pick her up, but the guards refused to release her.

Mr. Zhao Xizeng was arrested on August 7, 2008. The next day, Ms. Qi Shuping, a staff member of the Xingshan District Office; Mr. Sun Shihong; and Mr. Di Guibin were also arrested.

Ms. Gao Yanxia, Ms. Gao Fenling, Ms.Yuan Qing, and Mr. Du Deping were taken to Longfeng District Court on July 23, 2008. A week later they were sentenced to five years, four years, four years, and three and a half years of imprisonment, respectively. They filed a joint appeal to a higher court on August 7, 2008, but due to the influence of the local 610 Office, their appeals were turned down the following day.

In addition, the dossiers of Ms. Song Shanfeng and Ms. Li Xiuxiang were transferred to Longfeng District Court from the Development Zone Procuratorate.

On July 9, 2008 Ms. Li Jinlian was taken to the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison and severely abused. After being there for just a month, she became white as a sheet and couldn't walk properly. When people went to visit her, the female guards monitored everything that was said.

Ms. Li Yuejin is a staff member of the Beijing Aerial Material Institute. In February 2008, she was arrested and sentenced to two years of forced labor. In July 2008, she was transferred to the Taiyuan City Women's Forced Labor Camp for refusing to be "transformed."

Mr. Jing Dapeng, a staff member of the Mining Company under the Beijing Steel Corporation, was arrested by officers from the Mine Police Division in 2004. He was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor and fired from his job. On August 12, 2008, police officers ambushed him near his residence and arrested him. His whereabouts is unknown.

Ms. Zhao Ruying lived on Jinwei Road, Hebei District, Tianjin City. On August 6, 2008, she was arrested by anti-riot police for distributing truth clarification material in Jialefu Market. Later, her home was searched from top to bottom. She is being detained at the Nankai District Police Department.

On August 6, 2008, police searched Ms. Li Xiuxia's home in Shangniantou Village, Ji County, and arrested her. They confiscated her HP laser printer, Dafa books, and some CDs. The following day, they came back to search her home again. She is being detained in the Ji County Detention Center.

Ms. Qin Aizheng and Ms. Qin Aishun from Qinjiazhuang Village, Damujia Town, were arrested on July 28, 2008. They are being detained in the Gaomi City Detention Center.

On May 21, 2008, more than 20 thugs from Dalinchi Town searched practitioners' homes, arresting those who had Dafa books. Those taken into custody included Ms. Yang Lanying from Dalinchi Village, Ms. Su Yuqin, Ms. Wang Cuixiang and Ms. Su Xiufang from Shuangqing Village, and Ms. Bi Yanli from Guozhuang Village. All are detained in Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
Another practitioner, Ms. Wang Yuelan, was nearly arrested but managed to escape. She was forced into homeless to avoid further persecution.

On August 12, 2008, Mr. Zhang Daicheng from Wang Village was approached by four people he didn't know and who wouldn't disclose their identities. When they demanded that he show them his ID card, he refused, so they arrested him.

On August 8, 2008, Mr. Jun and another practitioner from Wudi County, along with Ms. Sun Guifang from Yangxin County, were reported to the police and arrested for distributing copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party while in Zhanhua County. The following day they were taken to Wudi County and Yangxin County respectively and detained.

Ms. Bing Huan from Xincheng Village and Ms. Wang Jianying from Fuyi Village are being detained in the Shahe City Detention Center. Mr. Niu Zhikang with the Zhouzhuang Office and Mr. Wang Qingge, director of Shiliting Town, were detained in a brainwashing center run by the Xingtai City No. 2 Detention Center.

On August 7, 2008, Mr. Song Ermou from Tongyue Township was arrested and his home was searched. He is being detained in the Raoyang County Detention Center.

In mid-July 2008, Ms. Tian Junhua explained the true situation about Falun Gong to a few children, but was later reported to the police by their parents. She was arrested and detained in the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City.

On August 1, 2008, Ms. Feng Yayun, was arrested by police officers from Beilin District and taken to the Changan County Brainwashing Center, where she was severely abused.

On May 22, 2008, police officers from the State Security Division and Juling Town Police Station-- led by Wu Huili (female), director of the State Security Division--arrested Ms. Tai Hongwei from Juling Village, Juling Town; Ms. Shi Xiuy from Louzhuang Village, Juling Town; and Ms. Su Hua from Guanjie Village, Juling Town. After being detained for 15 days, they were all taken to Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp. However, labor camp authorities refused to accept Ms. Tai.

On August 7, 2008, Wu Huili and police officers arrested Ms. Sun Yuzhi from Jiazhuang Village, Guxiang Township. She is being detained in Linying County Detention Center and subjected to abuse.

On August 7, 2008, police officers from State Security Division and Xinzhan Township broke into and searched the homes of Mr. Zhu Decai and Mr. Zhu Defu, both from Tianqi Village, Xinzhan Township. After seizing their Dafa books, the police detained them.

On August 1, 2008, Ms. Zhang Ruxiu, in her 60s, was tracked down and arrested while telling people the facts about Dafa. She is now in the Dazhu County Detention Center.

Practitioners who were detained in the Hexi Detention Center in Tongliao City in May 2008 were transferred to the Kezuohou Qi Detention Center, the Baokang Detention Center, or the Naiman Qi Detention Center on July 20, 2008. Ms. Liu Xiurong and Ms. Wang Jing were transferred to the Kezuohou Qi Detention Center. Ms. Tian Fang was transferred to the Naiman Qi Detention Center.

Mr. Wu Mingjin and his wife, Ms. Chen Xuyu, in their 50s, live in the residential section of the Electricity Bureau in Shiyan City. On July 29 and 30, 2008, they were arrested by officers from the Maojian District Police Department. They are being held at a detention center in Shiyan City.

Ms. Shen Yejun, in her 50s, is retired from the Dongfeng Shipbuilding Plant in Chongqing City. On August 12, 2008, officers from the Tangjiatuo Police Station arrested her, then searched her home, taking all of her Dafa books and Falun Gong materials.

According to current statistics, since 2008, 129 practitioners in Wuhan City have been arrested. Among them, nine were arrested in January, eight in February, seven in March, 27 in April, 35 in May, 12 in June, and 31 in July.

The following six practitioners received either a regular prison term or a forced labor term:

Ms. Xue Liangyan: three-year prison term
Mr. Zhang Weijie: one-year forced labor term
Mr. Peng Weisheng: one-year forced labor term

Ms. Qin Jiamin was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor several days before the Olympic Torch Relay passed through Guanghan City. She is being detained in the Guanghan City Detention Center. On August 2, 2008, Mr. Mou Shiru was arrested at home. On August 4, 2008, Ms. Yang Xiaoxia was also arrested at home. Mr. Mou and Ms. Yang are being detained in the Hexing Brainwashing Center.

On August 13, 2008, while Ms. Su Dan was working in the East Electrics Market, officers from the Dehui City Police Department arrested her. After that, they went to her home and seized her computer, then took her non-practitioner husband away. Her whereabouts is unknown.

On July 23, 2008, Ms. Xu Jinping and her son, Mr. Wang Ting, were arrested in a residential building close to the Dashan Forced Labor Camp. They were taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp although no legal procedures had been followed.

Mr. Wang had been accepted into a New York City university and planned to fly there on August 9, 2008.

Recently, under the guise of the Olympic Games, police officers from Linpan Oil Field repeatedly harassed practitioners and their families in the Linpan area. On August 8 and 10, 2008, officers from the Binhai Police Department arrested Ms. Cai Yune and Ms. Xue Yuhuan, both in their 50s.

On July 21, 2008, seven or eight people from the Pingshan County 610 Office, the police department, and the Broadcast and Television Bureau went to Zhongbailou Village to look for and dismantle satellite TV receivers and to search practitioners' homes. They seized a satellite TV receiver, a computer, and several Dafa books from Ms. Liu Xinli's home and arrested her. Afterwards, they went to Beibailou Village and searched practitioners' homes. In Mr. Jiang Qinghe's home, they seized a TV tuner and a DVD player. In Mr. Li Mihai's home, they seized a tape. In Mr. Li Shuanhai's home, they seized a Dafa book. In Ms. Liu Haiqiao's home, they seized a TV tuner.

After Ms. Liu Xinli was arrested, she was taken to the Pingshan County Detention Center. On August 11, 2008, she was taken to the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp to serve a one-and-a-half year sentence.
