Strengthen Our Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime has used the Olympic Games as their excuse to launch another round of large-scale persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They are even trying to export this persecution overseas, with tactics such as the incidents in Flushing and the Eutelsat incident. In China, the regime has been fanatical about arresting democracy activists and Falun Gong practitioners. In these past six months, the number of arrests has totaled nearly 10,000.

Why did the regime exploit the nation's power and financial resources to implement such extreme totalitarian measures in this latest, vicious round of madness during the Olympic Games? In fact we cultivators can see the reason very clearly. The CCP has deteriorated to a point beyond the possibility of a cure, and whatever it does is only a short-lived burst of energy just before its inevitable collapse. The CCP is scared of Falun Gong, because evil is always afraid of good, and when good becomes strong, evil will inevitably be destroyed, and this is why it goes all out to attack kindhearted people.

For cultivators, there are required understandings and standards. We must act according to Master's requirements and understand the Fa principles and the reasons behind the persecution. Everything in the world has come for the Fa and exists for the Fa, and everything that happens today emerges from our own attachments. A cultivator's heart should not be moved, and we should let go of all attachments. Today, however, when the Fa-rectification has progressed to this last stage, Dafa practitioners still have many attachments. I can see that some practitioners in our area held onto the attachments that the Olympic Games would not take place or that the Party would dissolve during the Olympic Games or that the Olympic Games would cause the outside world to judge the Party harshly. Some practitioners are attached to time, consummation, and the number of people who have quit the CCP and its youth organizations. No matter how irrationally the Party behaves, as cultivators, we should keep strong righteous thoughts and a calm heart, because every phenomenon appears as a result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. If we had consistently done the three things well, rationally and solidly, then many things would not have happened, and there would not have been so many losses and the CCP might have already destroyed itself.

The CCP also tried to force practitioners io renounce their belief, to fill out forms, and to sign their names. There is a list of the key practitioners in each area. These practitioners are checked, followed, and monitored every day. Some practitioners, when confronted by these people who went to their homes to harass them, became very angry, put on a long face, and spoke rudely. Later, they felt that they had not behaved properly, and after sharing with other practitioners they also realized that they had not shown any kindness or compassion. Police officers are being controlled by the evil Party specter, and they are doing bad things while in this state of delusion, without knowing that they are doing bad things. This is why we cultivators must not forget to clarify the facts to them and save them. This is being truly compassionate.

No matter what happens, as cultivators we must try our best to be rational and calm and treat them with kindness and compassion. We must explain the true situation to them and keep the strong righteous thought, "I'm here to save you." If they can understand the truth they will be saved, and they will not come back again to cause trouble. Isn't this a very good thing? Where else can we find such a good thing to do? Yet, some of us still may not understand that we should do it well.

Master has told us about this in his teachings and Fa lectures and has repeatedly reminded us and extended the ending time again and again, waiting for us to enlighten to these principles, so that more sentient beings can be saved once they get to know the truth.

No matter how the evil CCP varies its tactics to create different kinds of social situations or how they change their ploys to persecute practitioners, we should remain calm, like Master said, "just by having your heart unaffected you will be able to handle all situations."
