took place in 26 cities or counties in 13 provinces. Twenty-six Falun Gong
practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at

center on the night of July 21, 2008. Police ransacked the couple's home. Ms. Zhang Juan, 41, an English teacher in the Liangshui Town Middle School,
was arrested at school. Personnel from the Dongcheng Police Station arrested a 30-year-old female

Ms. Cui Meifen from Xiguxian Village, Chu'an Township, Renqiu City, has
been on a persecution-protest hunger strike in the city detention center for
several days. Guards force-fed her on the morning of August 17, 2008.

Mr. Zhang Xingguo and his wife, Ms. Zhang Shuqing, from Suihua City moved
away from their home to avoid arrest on September 28, 2006, and worked in the
Huzhong District in Daxing'anling City. Personnel from the Suihua City Domestic
Security Division followed their daughter to Daxing'anling City and arrested the
couple and their daughter on June 1, 2008, putting them in the city detention
center. Mr. Wang's whereabouts are unknown; Ms. Zhang is in Wangkui Detention
Center.

Police force-fed Ms. Tang Juzhang with a high-concentration saline solution
and drugs that damage the central nervous system. Ms. Tang is extremely skinny
and in critical condition. She has been released.
Personnel from the Qianfeng Town Police Station in Guang'an City arrested
two 60-year-old practitioners, Ms. Li Xiazhen and Ms. Chen Shouqin, on the
morning of August 18, 2008. They also confiscated Dafa books, a picture of
Master, some CDs, Falun Gong informational materials, and personal items.

Ms. Tao Aixin, Ms. Meng Qingzhi, and Ms. Wei Junrong from Ruzhou City were
arrested on August 12, 2008. Their families were informed of their arrests on
August 14.
Sixty-five-year-old Ms. Chen Daqun, an employee of the Yibin City Materials
Factory, has been arrested six times since July 20, 1999, and held in a prison
for four years. Police arrested her again on June 15, 2008, when she explained
the facts about Falun Gong in Zhaohua Town, Fushun County. She is being held in
the county detention center.
Mr. Fang Junfeng and Ms. Yang Xiuhong from Erjia Village, Gaocun Town,
Wendeng City, were arrested on August 15, 2008. They are in the city detention
center.
Ms. Li Xianglan, 70 years old, was arrested and taken to a brainwashing
center on August 1, 2008. Her home was ransacked.
From Zhangluji Township: 45-year-old Ms. Ruan Guihua, 41-year-old Ms. Ma Yuqin,
60-year-old Ms. Zhang Guifang, 63-year-old Ms. Song Liuyu, 52-year-old Ms. Lian
Suping, and 66-year-old Mr. Liu Jiaxin
From Yanlou Township: 58-year-old Ms. Zhang Guifang
From Linqing City: Mr. Zhang Kaiguo and his wife, Ms. Qian Chunzhe
Ms. Li Yaoying and her 60-year-old mother, Ms. Su, a teacher, live in the
Lijiang Garden Community in the Fanyu District, Guangzhou City. Police arrested
them and ransacked their home on July 30, 2008. They confiscated a computer. Ms.
Li is in the Tianhe Detention Center, while her mother was taken back to her
hometown, Zhanjiang City, and held in a brainwashing center.

Police arrested 67-year-old Mr. Zhang Jianhua from Lanzhou City on August
17, 2008. He is in the Xiaoxihu Police Station in the Qilihe District, Lanzhou
City.
Police arrested Ms. Shi Dongmei and Mr. Li Baozhi on July 29, 2008. They
extorted 10,000 yuan from their families and then released them on
August 8, 2008.
Police arrested 60-year-old Ms. Yan Chengyu from Diance Village, Hongqihegou
Town in the Jiangbei District, at 11:00 p.m. on August 11, 2008.
Personnel from the Tuanjie Street Police Station in Gaobeidian City went to
Ms. Guan Chunmin's home on August 6, 2008. They attempted to coerce her into
signing a statement saying that she would not go to Beijing and is not against
the Olympic Games. They again attempted to coerce her to sign the statement on
the morning of August 13, 2008. When she refused, the police ransacked her home
and confiscated some of Master's books. They arrested Ms. Guan and took her to a
detention center.
Personnel from the Zhengzhou City Police Department's Domestic Security
Division arrested Ms. Huang Li and took her to the Guancheng District Detention
Center on July 9, 2008. Ms. Huang was taken to Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor
Camp on July 28, 2008.
Police arrested Ms. Fu Xianhua from Xiangtan City. She was taking care of
her paralyzed mother. The practitioner is being held in a Wujia Garden
brainwashing center.
Police arrested Mr. Yang Hanzhen, Ms. Yang Yuzhen, Ms. Wang Yuqin, Ms. Zhang
Qinghua, Ms. Zhang Yanhua, and Ms. Rong Jufang between June 11 and July 11,
2008. Mr. Yang Hanzhen and Ms. Yang Yuzhen were sentenced to two years of forced
labor, Ms. Zhang Qinghua to four years, Ms. Wang and Ms. Zhang Yanhua to one and
a half years each, and Ms. Rong to one year. Ms. Yang Yuzhen was released on
July 11, 2008, and Ms. Yang Hanzhen was taken to Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Wang, Ms. Zhang Yanhua, and Ms. Rong were admitted to Jurong Forced Labor
Camp.
Ms. Yang Huaqi was arrested in a Yubei District supermarket for distributing
truth-clarifying materials. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and is
held in Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Police arrested Ms. Zhu Qunhua, Ms. Wu Xiaoli (in Qingshen Detention
Center), Ms. Guo Xiuzhi, Ms. Chen Dongxiu, Ms. Chen Guihua (released after being
held for seven days), and Ms. Shao Shuming. Personnel from the Dongpo District
Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Wang Manrong's home in the No.7 Group,
Mingguang Village, Sanshu Township, at 11:00 p.m. on July 25, 2008. The police
arrested 50-year-old Ms. Wang and took her to Pengshan Detention Center. They
confiscated all Dafa books and a satellite dish. They also ransacked Mr. Zhang
Shuhua's home and confiscated all of his Dafa books, a satellite dish, and a VCD
player.
Officials from the Longping Street Administration Office arrested Ms. Xie
Bifang and ransacked her home at 10:00 a.m. on August 1, 2008. They confiscated
a copy of Zhuan Falun. The gang also arrested Ms. Liang
Guihua and confiscated a satellite dish, an MP3 player, and a Dafa book. The two
ladies are now in Beimen Detention Center.
Ms. Yi Jun used to work in the Mingshan District Automobile Sale Center in
Benxi City. She was fired for traveling to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in
1999. Personnel from the district police station arrested her and ransacked her
home at 1:00 p.m. on July 9, 2008. They failed to extort money from Ms. Yi's
family and then sentenced her to two years of forced labor. Ms. Yi is in the
Dabailou Detention Center.
Personnel from the Xiawei Town Police Station arrested Ms. Wu Aihua, Ms.
Jiang Lihua, and Ms. Li Xiulian at 5:00 p.m. on August 18, 2008, when they were
handing out informational material about Falun Gong in Shangwei Village, Xiawei
Town. The police ransacked Ms. Li's barbershop and
also confiscated eight boxes of white paper. The women are being held in the
Yishui Detention Center.
Personnel from the Songshuqiao Police Station in the Yubei District arrested
60-year-old Ms. Xiao Lizhu from the district in Chongqing on August 14, 2008.
She was put in the Yiwanshui Detention Center in Huixing Town, the Yubei
District, Chongqing.
Personnel from the Nancheng Police Station in Shulan City arrested Ms. Dang
Baofen on her way home on the afternoon of August 18, 2008. She is now in the
Nanshan Detention Center.
Personnel from the Dalian City Domestic Security Division arrested
40-year-old Mr. Liu Ronghua from the Shenyang City Military Region Logistic
Department on July 19, 2008. His home was ransacked, and he was sentenced to one
year of forced labor. He is in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
Local police arrested Ms. Gong Meirong on August 8, 2008, when she explained
the facts about Falun Gong in Fuxing Village, the Hankou District.
Local police arrested 50-year-old Ms. Zhang Yongmei from Xiyatou Village,
Heiwang Town, the Zichuan District, Zibo City, on July 25, 2008. They put her in
the city's 610 Office Brainwashing Center.
Police from the Ezhou City 610 Office broke into 70-year-old Mr. Wang
Yongquan's home and ransacked it on August 18, 2008. They confiscated a copy of
"Minghui Weekly."
Zuojiafang Village Party secretary Xin Yu in Huai'an City confiscated
several practitioners' citizen ID cards at 9:00 p.m. on July 18, 2008. The
people affected were 37-year-old Mr. Yu Jianli, 36-year-old Ms. Jin Junlin and
her husband, 40-year-old Ms. Wang Feng'e, Ms. Yang Yunxia, and 63-year-old Mr.
Shen Zhilin.
Personnel from the Xiajiadian Police Station arrested Ms. Meng Lingli from
Xiajiadian Town, Dehui City. The police also called her husband, Mr. Sun Fei,
and attempted to arrest him, too. Ms. Meng is in the Changchun City No. 3
Detention Center.

Police arrested Mr. Hu Baoming from the Daxi District, Shenyang City, on the
night of August 14, 2008, on his way to see the Olympic Games. His home was
ransacked. Mr. Hu is now in the Changqing Shenyhe Detention Center.
Personnel from the Zhoujia Police Station arrested Ms. Ma Sufen from
Yijiabaozi Village, Zhoujia Township, Dashiqiao City, on August 7, 2008. Ms. Ma
is in the city detention center.
Police arrested Mr. Yu Zaoyuan from Tieqiao Village, Wuhan City, on July 27,
2008. He is in Taojialing Brainwashing Center.
Five officers from the Sanmianchuan Town Police Station in Faku County broke
into Mr. Li Gengrong's home in Sanjiazi Village at 5:00 p.m. on June 27, 2008,
and ransacked it. They attempted to arrest Mr. Li on July 8, 2008, but were not
successful.
Local police and personnel from the No. 4723 Marine Factory's Security
Section arrested Ms. Wang Caimei from the factory's dorm on August 8, 2008. They
confiscated two laptop computers, a printer, and Falun Gong truth-clarifying
materials. Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.
Several plainclothes policemen arrested Ms. Pan Weiqing and took her to the
Zhonghua Street Police Precinct at 4:00 p.m. on August 9, 2008.
Personnel from the Jiangbei District Domestic Security Division in Chongqing
arrested Ms. Yan Chengyu and took her to the district's detention center on the
night of August 11, 2008. Ms. Yan had been held in the Wangxiangtai Brainwashing
Center for two weeks as of June 11, 2008. She was just released a month ago.
Personnel from the Jiangbei District Domestic Security Division broke into Ms.
Tan Heping's home and ransacked the place on the night of August 12, 2008. Ms.
Tan escaped, but the police arrested her son, who was released the next day.
Personnel from the Jiangbei District Police Department's Domestic Security
Division broke into Ms. Chen Kerong's home at 8:00 p.m. on August 12, 2008. They
confiscated several Dafa books and several hundred bills with Falun Gong
truth-clarifying massages printed on them. The police also arrested Ms. Chen's
sister and her neighbor, Ms. Kong Xiangfen.

Police arrested Ms. Zhang Zhongyue and her husband, Mr. Yang Xueyu, from
Dazhu County on July 26, 2008. Ms. Zhang was released later that same night.
Peng Yu, Domestic Security Division chief: 86-818-6221159
Police arrested 66-year-old Mr. Zhao Qin, a retired employee from the Xi'an
City Shimian Factory, on July 17, 2008, when he explained the facts about Falun
Gong. He is now in Chang'an County Brainwashing Center.
