Perform Our Lead Role Well with Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently in our area, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials, using the Olympics as an excuse, ordered personnel from the Public Security police station, the 610 Office, the Street Office, and the Community Office to arrest Falun Gong practitioners, to monitor them, and to confiscate their ID cards.

Facing this, I remembered Master's Teaching,

"Those ordeals and the suffering, no matter how great or harsh you find them to be, are good things, because they take place solely on account of your cultivation. You are the ones saving them, so you need to be clear on what you are doing and working toward." ("Fa Teaching at 2008 New York Conference" [6/22/2008])

When the police came to my house, they demanded that I give them my ID card and that I report to the Community Office every morning and evening. While listening to their threats, I was sending forth righteous thoughts. I refused their unreasonable demands and pointed out that what they were doing was against the law. I told them how I had benefited from practicing Falun Dafa and how the CCP's cruel persecution of Falun Gong has caused great harm to practitioners and to their families.

I also told them about how much of a catastrophe the CCP has brought to the Chinese people through many political movements since the establishment of the regime. While I was explaining these things, I kept in mind that I must maintain a compassionate mind so that they could understand the facts and that I must save them. As I was clarifying the truth to them, they calmed down and listened quietly. Some of them gave me their names and phone numbers as they were leaving and said that they were willing to be friends with me. The CCP had different authorities barge into my home several times. All in all, there were more than ten people. Some of then were forced to come more than once, but they apologized for the intrusions, saying that they could lose their jobs if they didn't do it. I understood their situation and sympathized with them.

One day, a fellow practitioner told me that the police were planning to arrest practitioners that night. I thought of what Teacher said,

"This period of history was arranged for Dafa disciples to save sentient beings, so why haven't you taken the lead role?" ("Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference" [6/22/2008])

I understood immediately what I should do: I should not hide from the evildoers. I should face them with righteous thoughts. When I returned home, I sent forth righteous thoughts. Since then, the police have not come to my home any more.

Teacher said,

"It looks like quite an intimidating show that they put on, but I would say that that's their last flurry of activity before they perish.

Each time they do evil, they have to gather up lots of rotten demons, turning out in almost full force. It is Fa-rectification and purification of the universe that is taking place, so they are being eliminated, and that is how the evil's strength is being decimated. Then after the elimination is complete, they settle down for a while. That's how it happens every time.

Isn't this incident itself saving sentient beings? It has generated such a big impact in society, and everyone is reflecting on it." ("Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference" [6/22/2008])

As Fa-rectification has come to this very last stage, the evil persecution of Dafa practitioners, the rounds of illegal arrests and brutal torture are actually giving practitioners opportunities to save more sentient beings. The main thing to think about is how to perform well this lead role of ours. Do not be confused or distracted.
