Just Doing the Three Things Well

(Clearwisdom.net) After reading the article "Fellow Practitioners, Let Us Give Up Our Human Mindsets" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2008/8/13/99784.html) from the Clearwisdom Editors, I remembered Master's Fa that is about the relationship between studying and going to college. Master told us,

"They know that since they are students, they should study hard. Then naturally they do well. As long as they study hard and complete their tasks, they will be admitted to good schools or be accepted to college. It's not achieved through being attached to good schools, or to high scores, or to college. I often say this: when people obsess about the thought of doing something or want to obtain something, the result is often quite the opposite; when you merely think about how to do well in something, it will naturally come about." ("Teaching the Fa at the Conference in New Zealand" in 1999)

Being attached to things in ordinary society like hoping for the early disintegration of the CCP so we no longer have to endure the persecution, or wishing some dramatic events would occur that would make it easier for us to clarify the truth about Falun Gong--these kinds of attachments are similar to students' being attached to getting into college. However, how about his study and score? He always lags behind in study and does not make a real effort to study. Instead, he indulges himself by playing games and even plays hooky, and is opportunistic in his approach to exams. Can he pass the exams? Under these circumstances hasn't his thought of going to college become a fantasy? Master has told us many times that by doing the three things well, everything is encompassed. But how are we really doing? Do our realms of cultivation conform to the Fa? Do our sending forth righteous thoughts yield the results that we should achieve? Have we saved all the people that we should save? The CCP only exists for Dafa disciples and during this period of time it is for Dafa disciples to be able to save people and exhibit their mighty virtue. We are in the leading roles of this play. When we play our lead roles well, those minor roles will not be needed any more. The CCP's lingering on like a man on his deathbed is an indication that we have not taken the lead role well, and we should continue to improve our cultivation realms. In addition, the number of people who have learned the facts and been saved is still not enough.

Sometimes we think that since the persecution has lasted nine years, we should already have reached Consummation. We are hoping that it will all be over with quickly and all our troubles will end, and I felt I indeed cherished myself and this rare chance. However, Master looks at this situation from the perspective of the highest cosmos. Master told us,

"In fact, I treasure you more than you treasure yourselves, for you exist together with Master. You are the most magnificent gods of the future, the exemplary models of the new cosmos, and mankind's hope for the future." ("Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia" in 1999)

In order to send the disciples back to the realms from where their life originated, and to save more beings that have also come to validate the Fa from high levels and countless beings from immeasurable heavenly bodies, Master has delayed the end of Fa-rectification again and again, and suffered hardships that beings in the cosmos cannot imagine.

We hope that these lessons can make us become even more mature. Let us just do the three things well and indeed play the leading role well so that we may accomplish our grand oath of assisting Master to rectify the Fa.
