(Clearwisdom.net) In order to have a larger year-end bonus, the Taoxu Town Police harassed practitioners, searched their homes, tortured them and extorted money from their families. From December 29, 2008 to January 1, 2009, eleven practitioners were arrested and harassed by the police in those four days.
At around 10:30 a.m., December 29, 2008, Yi Yongtao, Director of the Taoxu Town Police Station, Vice Director Gong Piwang, Party Secretary Wang Zhaohai and two policemen went to practitioner Shi Shaoxin's home in Yelaoyu Village, Taoxu Town. Without showing any identification, they searched Shi Shaoxin's home and arrested him.
Shi Shaoxin was detained in the Taoxu Town Police Station. At around 11 a.m., Vice Director Gong Piwang beat Shi Shaoxin with books and slapped him on the face, then tortured him by handcuffing his hands behind his back in a painful position, which hurt him very badly. At around 4 p.m., Shi Shaoxin passed out due to the mental and physical torture, but Gong Piwang said that Shi Shaoxin was pretending and called the doctor to come in and give him a check up. The check-up showed that Shi Shaoxin's blood pressure was abnormally low, so Gong Piwang finally agreed to change the hand cuff torture method and cuff his hands in front of him.
The purpose of torturing Shi Shaoxin was for the Taoxu Town Police Station to extort money from Shi's family. Under the threatening of Vice Director Gong Piwang and Party Secretary Wang Zhaohai, Shi's family members brought 11,000 yuan (some of it was borrowed) to the police station so that Shi Shaoxin was allowed to go home.
At around 1 p.m., December 29, 2008, Gong Piwang and several policemen went to search the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Guo Zengshun in Ankou Village, Taoxu Town. They arrested Guo Zengshun and confiscated his copy of Zhuan Falun. The police extorted the family for 6,000 yuan in exchange for Guo Zengshun's release. Two days later, Guo Zengshun was allowed to go home on December 30, 2008.
On January 1, 2009, Director Yi Yongtao of the Taoxu Town Police Station, Vice Director Gong Piwang and several policemen went in three police cars to Sunjiahuozi in South Hill of Qiancheng Village, Taoxu Town. They searched the homes of Dafa practitioners Sun Zongguo, Sun Zongsheng, Sun Zongchuan, and Sun Shuchun. The police took away many Dafa books and an MP4 player from Sun Zongguo's home They stole a TV, a DVD player and some truth-clarification DVDs from Sun Zongsheng's home. They took a set of Teacher Li's lecture tapes, a set of lecture DVDs, some truth-clarification DVDs, copies of "Minghui Weekly," and a copy of Zhuan Falun from Sun Zongchuan's home. From Sun Shuchun's home, they confiscated a picture of Teacher Li, a TV, a DVD player, an audio recorder, some Dafa books, tapes of the exercise music, and a set of lecture DVDs. Practitioners Sun Shilan, Gong Shunhua, and Shi Hui were arrested and detained at the Taoxu Town Police Station. Shu Shilan was released after four days of detention and had 4,000 yuan extorted from him; Gong Shunhua was released after four days of detention and was forced to pay 6,000 yuan; Shi Hui was released after three days of detention and was forced to pay 8,000 yuan.
In the morning of January 1, 2009, Yi Yongtao, Gong Piwang, Wang Zhaohai, and three policemen from the police station went to practitioner Wang Fubao's home in Lijiazhuang Village, Taoxu Town. Wang Fubao wasn't home, but the police searched his home and took away his Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, some cash, a printer, and a computer. Afterwards, Yi Yongtao arranged for people to monitor Wang Fubao's family every day.
At around 3:30 p.m. on January 1, 2009, Yi Yongtao, Gong Piwang, and Wang Zhaohai broke into practitioner Ji Licai's home in Anlezhuang Village, Taoxu Town. Without showing any identification, the police searched Ji Licai's home and took away his Dafa books, some truth clarification DVDs, and an MP3 player. Li Licai was arrested by the police.
In the police station, Yi Yongtao, Gong Piwang, and Wang Zhaohai took turns to torture Ji Licai. Gong Piwang cuffed Ji Licai's hands behind his back in a painful position and forced him to sit on the floor while stepping on his knees and ankles. Gong Piwang lifted Ji Licai by grabbing the cuffs on his back, whipped him, and slapped his face with a shoe. The torture lasted for more than two hours, then Ji Licai was locked in a small cell. Later after getting drunk, Gong Piwang beat Ji Licai's face and head severely. Not until 9 a.m. the next morning did they change the handcuffing position to the front. At around 5 p.m. Ji's family brought 6,000 yuan to the police, and then Ji Licai was allowed to go home.
