Assemblyman: "I give it an A+"

Assemblyman Mr. Upendra J. Chivukula

Mr. Upendra J. Chivukula is a New Jersey State Assemblyman. He said after watching the show, "I was hesitant to come, because I have to travel tomorrow. After I arrived, I saw the beautiful colors, beautiful costumes, beautiful dances, and lovely music. I also learned the spiritual aspect of Falun Gong, and learned about Chinese culture and China. Everything is very good, excellent!"

He continued, "Life is a gift from God, it is eternal. Lots of things happen when you wait for things; care about humanity and believe in God. The choreography and music are phenomenal, and also the piano is very pleasing to the ears. Everything is great. I will give it an A+."

"People need to know that when anytime there is an oppressive regime, people don't have the freedom to practice religion, or have spirituality. This type of education is going to help people have proper knowledge of the richness of the culture and contributions made through the period of dynasties. This is important."

He added in the end, "Chinese culture is very rich, and the world's people can learn and benefit from learning it. The dance 'Udumbara's Bloom' very beautifully expressed peaceful Buddhist information."

Bank Manager: Divine culture

Ms. Mearal is a financial analysis department manager working for the Royal Bank of Canada. She and her husband Erhan watched the last show and told a reporter, "The Splendor is so wonderful, it is the best show we have ever seen. We have watched so many shows. Tonight's program is much better than the Broadway shows, not only the visual and sound pleasure, but it also has a rich spiritual content, full of positive information. We never knew China has so many attractive fairy tales, such as the Legend of the Pen, and 'The Udumbara's Bloom.'"

Ms. Mearal thinks that Divine Performing Arts gave a good view into how Chinese people look at the world, humanity, and life, as well as the relationship between the divine and the human. She said, "I can sense this information from the dances, music, colors and costumes. All these expressions are communicating with the audience, filling them with serenity and kindness. I now understand why this company is called Divine Performing Arts, because the show is passing on divine information."

Lawyer and Wife: "They are genuine Chinese"

Lawyer Mr. Dennis Haase with his wife psychiatrist Dorothy

Lawyer Mr. Dennis Haase and his wife, psychiatrist Mrs. Dorothy Haase, expressed their gratitude towards this great show. "The DPA displayed a high artistic level. Each aspect was wonderful. Hardly anybody else can perform such dances."

Mrs. Haase said, "The Splendor displayed true Chinese culture and arts, and conveyed philosophy through them. Like it said, 'Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope.' We all got it."

Mr. Haase said, "We saw the brutality of one regime treating peaceful, good people as enemies in this show. At the same time, we also witnessed Falun Gong practitioners in the persecution still being compassionate and maintaining dignity. That was so moving."

He added, "We have learned about the genuine Chinese culture. The DPA is rebuilding Chinese culture, and bringing her to the whole world. This performance is telling the world: this is the true Chinese, they represent true Chinese people."

Banker: Felt life ascended and spirit elevated

Banker Mr. Poren

Mr. Poren is a banker. He said that the entire show's colors, backdrops, and environment were very beautiful, especially the dances and costumes. He said that the Splendor displayed several thousand years of Chinese history and tradition, and it made people experience the splendid within. There were strong messages expressed that involved important aspects of life, in all dimensions. He said, "I felt the ascent of life and elevating of my spirit through watching the show."

The Divine Performing Arts Touring Company will go to Denver next, while the DPA New York Company and the DPA International Company will go to Minneapolis and Korea respectively.
