As of March 8, the recorded number of people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations on the Epoch Times website has reached 50,900,000. Cindy Gu, director of the Eastern Canada Epoch Times branch, said in her speech that the editorial series entitled, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, published by the Epoch Times at the end of 2004, describes the true history of the Communist Party and makes a thorough analysis of it. She said, "The great tide inspired by the Nine Commentaries, in my view, will lead to the disintegration of the CCP."

A Falun Gong practitioner exposes the persecution

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Song, who just immigrated to Canada 82 days ago from China, said, "In less than three months, I have fallen in love with Canada and Toronto. I feel the freedom and democracy and care for universal values that permeate this place."

Ms. Song recounted her personal experience of being abducted by three plainclothes police from the 610 Office and three police officers. She said, "They did not show any documents permitting the arrest, and even my closest colleagues and friends did not know my whereabouts. They only knew that I had suddenly disappeared."

Ms. Song was sent to a forced labor camp and detained there for one year and four months. She talked about things she had experienced and seen there.

"They attempted to coerce Falun gong practitioners to renounce their belief by means of torture and brainwashing. The torture methods they used included sleep deprivation, forbidding practitioners to use the toilet and wash themselves, humiliating and verbally abusing practitioners and so on, " Ms. Song said. "Many practitioners have experienced sleep deprivation for weeks and even as long as one month. Some practitioners were tied to a wooden bed for seven days."

Su Ming: The CCP completely failed in its suppression of Falun Gong

Vice-Chairman of the "Chinese Democratic Front" Canadian Branch, Mr. Su Ming said, "So far, we have not seen that the CCP has taken any successful measures that have deterred the grand tide of quitting the CCP. This proves that the CCP is at the end of its wits. It is not hard to infer that the CCP's days are numbered."

"The CCP has been conducting persecution and suppression of many different groups and civil organizations, but it did not expect to meet with setbacks on the Falun Gong issue, because Falun Gong has taken a peaceful and non-violent approach to conduct lawful and open resistance. Many people have commented that the CCP has completely failed in suppressing Falun Gong," said Su.

Chinese people learn the facts and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations

Ms. Liu, representing seven Quitting-the-CCP service centers in the Toronto area, said that in the past four years, volunteers at the service centers in Toronto have been making phone calls to thousands of households in mainland China, to government departments, cultural, educational and medical units, and the public security, Procuratorate and court system. Some volunteers have helped several thousand Chinese people register and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Ms. Liu said, "A current high-ranking air force cadre, who had commanded the suppression of the student movement during the massacre on Tiananmen Square of June 4, 1989, said after keeping silent for a long time, 'What you have said is the truth. I was on the spot at the time, I'm clearer than you. I quit...' Four prison guards at a prison in Shandong Province who used to actively persecute Falun Gong practitioners, through Falun Gong practitioners' persevering truth clarification efforts, quit the CCP. They not only treat detained practitioners kindly, but also have started practicing Falun Gong."

Ms. Liu said, "We believe that more people will see the day approaching when heaven will eliminate the CCP, and courageously jump free from fear, erase the mark of the beast that the evil Party forced upon them, and choose a beautiful future for themselves."

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu was among the earliest group of Chinese people who announced his withdrawal from the CCP. He said, "The CCP has committed numerous monstrous crimes, and has gone so far as harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit."

"One will be punished for killing people. The CCP is doomed." Mr. Wu said, "I used to swear I'd die for the Communist Party, and work and fight for it all my life, I certainly should announce my withdrawal and that the serious oath I made is void, and I have no longer any relationship with it."

Mr. Huang is an overseas student who has graduated and is working. He said, "When I passed by Chinatown before, I heard people say how many people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, I had some doubt that those figures were accurate. Today, seeing so many Chinese people gather and discuss the issue, and express support for those who have renounced the CCP. I am amazed and moved as well."

"It happened that an Auntie asked me if I had quit the CCP, so I asked her to help me quit the Young Pioneers." Mr. Huang said that he got to know Falun Gong a month ago and today he learned more about it.

Immigrants admire Falun Gong practitioners' truth clarification effort

Ms. Zhou Cong immigrated to Canada in 1988 from Shanghai, China, and she announced her withdrawal from the Young Pioneers. She said, "I admire the Falun Gong group. I admire and support their perseverance and uncompromising spirit. Many Chinese media, including televisions and newspapers, are under the control of the CCP, only the Epoch Times and NTDTV speak the truth. They are the hope of the Chinese people! Without such media, nobody will expose the persecution and suffering of the ordinary Chinese people."

"Many people do not believe that there has occurred such a brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China in a modern environment. Only Falun Gong practitioners have exposed the persecution, and let everybody know the fact that there is such a brutal thing happening behind the flourishing surface in China." Ms. Zhou said, "Chinese people who have consciences have been awakened. Quitting the CCP is the best way."
