(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Yipo is a Falun Gong practitioner in Gapbeidian City, Hebei Province. During the past several years, he has endured long-term persecution for his belief.
The persecution started around July 20, 2000. Wang Yipo and his fellow practitioners were studying Master's lectures when they were reported, and subsequently arrested by Lu Zhiyuan, Guo Haijian and others. Eight practitioners, including Wang Yinpo, were sent to Zhiyou Brainwashing Center where they were forced to go through various tortures, including sleep deprivation, strenuous military training exercises, extended exposure to the sun and running. Twenty-three days later, policeman Zhao Kejun extorted 3,500 yuan from Wang Yinpo.
In July 2001, police station head Wu Yuhe led Guo Haijian, and five others on a raid of Wang Yinpo's home. They broke in and turned his home upside down. They took away Master's lectures on videotape, handcuffed Mr. Wang and brought him to Bachang Brainwashing Center. That same night they interrogated him, seeking to find the source of the truth clarification materials found at his home. Guo Haijian and three other policemen brutally beat him during the interrogation. Guo Haijian was especially cruel: Every time he asked a question, he hit Mr. Wang with a rubber club. The interrogation went well beyond midnight, and Mr. Wang's buttocks turned black and blue. As a result, he couldn't sit or lie down. The next day, policeman Zhao Jun asked his subordinates, Chen and Zhang, to keep torturing Mr. Wang. At night, Wu Yuhe and Guo Haijian came again to interrogate him. Guo Haijian slapped him on the face until he passed out. When Mr. Wang woke up, he was in the hospital, receiving emergency treatment.
The police kept Wang Yinpo in a confinement cell and interrogated him day in and day out. Mr. Wang couldn't get in touch with anyone. All his human rights were stripped away. He even had to ask for permission to use the restroom. Once Mr. Wang needed to use the restroom very urgently, but they refused to open the door of his cell. After repeated requests, they let him out. However, while Mr. Wang was on his way to the restroom, four people, each with a baton in hand, suddenly came after him and battered his head. They hit him so hard that all the batons broke. They proceeded to handcuff Mr. Wang to his bed for one day and one night.
Under this brutally inhumane treatment, Wang Yinpo became mentally disoriented. Twenty-three days later, the police claimed he had a history of mental disorder. They released him after extorting 1,000 yuan from his family.
In June 2003, Wang Yinpo went to Beijing to do odd jobs. While he was working in Beijing, local police station head Ma Wenyong and local government Party secretary Feng came to his home to harass his family. His wife was so scared that she couldn't eat for several days straight and had to rely on IV drips. The police also went to his son's company to demand Wang Yinpo's whereabouts. On August 1, Mr. Wang returned home. On the second day, he was taken to Bachang Brainwashing Center where he was tortured again. Thirty-eight days later, his family got him home, but only after being extorted of another 1,000 yuan.
In May 2005, local police station head Li Jianguo led a group of his people, including Guo Haijian, to round up practitioners, and force them to write statements denouncing Falun Gong. Mr. Wang refused to renounce his practice, and was detained on charges of "interfering with public security."
In August 2007, Ma Wenyong led Cui Fu and three others to break into Wang Yinpo's home. They found Master's lectures and threatened to take Mr. Wang away. In order to keep his father from being arrested, his son gave the police 1,000 yuan without his father's knowledge.
Before the 2008 Olympics, the local police ransacked Mr. Wang's home five times.
