Two Examples of Karmic Retribution for Persecuting Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Police station security officer Li Dan, over 30 years old, died on April 2005. He was from the Town of Nanzamu, Xinbin County, Liaoning Province.

On July 20, 1999, Li Dan was recruited for and worked at Nanzamu Public Security Local Police Station as a security officer. Rather than devote himself to justice, he became corrupt and would stop at no evil to follow the orders of the CCP in persecuting Dafa practitioners. He was involved in many illegal activities such as confiscating property from the families of practitioners, arresting practitioners, and other evil deeds.

In May 2002, practitioner Ms. Jing Shuzhi suffered persecution and became destitute and homeless. She was forced to stay with one of her relatives in the Town of Dongfeng, Jilin Province. When Officer Li Dan heard the news, he and two other officers illegally arrested Ms. Jing. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term. In September 2002, he developed a very wicked idea. With the support of an inspector from the Public Security local police station, he subpoenaed several practitioners to the police station. In a recorded interrogation, he forced practitioners to say slanderous things about Dafa and Dafa's Teacher or face being sent to Xinbin Town Detention Center. That night, Officer Li Dan and a local police inspector took three practitioners to the local detention center and fined each oone 1000 yuan.

The laws of Heaven and Earth demand that each person be held responsible for his own actions and any evil deed will receive karmic retribution. Officer Li Dan not only met a violent death (reason unknown), but his misdeeds also brought disaster to his father and his son. A few months before Li Dan's death, his father contracted an unknown disease and died suddenly at his home. Less than two months after Li Dan's death, his three-year-old son also died from an acute disease, and his wife remarried after Li's death. The entire family was destroyed due to Li Dan's misdeeds.

Liu Yuansheng was a Community Leader from Red Bean Community in Wulong County of Chongqing City. During the Olympic Games, he actively participated in the persecution and monitoring of practitioners. Several days after the Games, his son was sentenced to a prison term for murder. Liu Yuansheng also found out he had liver cancer. After he suffered for several months in a hospital bed, Li Dan died on February 2009. While he was suffering from his illness, his wife left him and moved in with someone else, leaving only his mother to look after him.
