(Clearwisdom.net) On February 27, 2009, the Divine Performing Arts' (DPA) third show in Taiwan was staged in Taipei at the Taipei International Conference Center. From the enthusiastic applause and cheers, one could tell that the audience was deeply touched by the performance. Some were immigrants from mainland China and said that they were very fortunate to have watched the performance and expressed their sincere praise for the show.

Visual Arts Master: It is so Colorful and Beautiful

Ms. Chen Shanshan specializes in dyeing. She was surprised at the authentic presentation of traditional Chinese culture: "These dancers' skills and technique are marvelous, very powerful, very good. I am very much impressed by their skills and technique."

Ms. Chen added that she was particularly impressed with all the dancers' movements, which suggested great diligence, concentration and endurance. In addition, Ms. Chen talked about the various costumes, "As a whole, the costumes and colors were very striking, very attractive, and beautiful. No matter from what angles they watched the show, the audience would be attracted."

Because her work includes showcasing the beauty of the Dunhuang Goddess, Ms. Chen carefully observed the dancers' movements. She was greatly impressed with the difficult extensions and subtle movements that the performers used to express the meaning of their dances. Ms. Chen also said that the DPA show sparked her own creativity.

When asked which number was her favorite, Ms. Chen said that every act was unique and extraordinary, whether it was a story-telling performance or a simple dance. She said that she would tell all her friends to come and watch the show.

Ms. Chen loves natural materials. Her masterpieces, including works from the series "Flying Beauty" and "Ancient Dance," present the beauty of the Dunhuang Goddess. Her work has been exhibited around the world.

Secretary-General of Multicultural Art Troupe: The Content Is Pure, Very Touching

Mr. Li Dewei is the Secretary-General of the Taipei Multicultural Arts Troupe and Taiwan Indigenous Culture Industrial Development Association. He noted that the performance depicted spiritual connotations by combining Chinese traditional materials and artistic presentation methods. The performances did not need many words, he believed, as they were easily understandable to the audience and provided an immediate sense of peace and tranquility.

Mr. Li added that many people regard myths as something fantastic and a source of entertainment. In fact, this is not correct. If myths are interpreted with art, such presentations will easily touch people's hearts.

Sitting next to Mr. Li was Ms. Zeng Niulang, Vice President of the International Dance Association of the Republic of China. She said that the dances were very impressive and the poignant expression of feelings shortened the distance between the audience and the performance. She felt the connection between the director and the dancers contributed to an incredible performance and allowed the audience to easily get engaged with each story.

In addition, Mr. Li and Ms. Zeng talked about the presentation of Heaven Awaits us Despite Persecution, noting the dramatic imagery of brightness and darkness, meant to represent the invasion of the dark forces. This performance, they said, was very moving.

Ms. Zeng said that the Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain, a performance of Tibetan dance, was uplifting. When the curtains went up and the backdrop was revealed, people felt a strong sense of lightness. "It seemed as if we stepped out from pent-up emotion and felt so very good."

New Immigrants from Mainland China: It Was Thrilling

Ms. Zhang is a new immigrant from mainland China. After watching the third DPA show in Taipei, she said, "The show is really awesome and thrilling. It will be perfect if this culture can be passed down generation after generation."

She felt particularly moved when she saw the Falun spinning in the last number, Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope. She said that it was as if her mind had been opened and elevated, as if all her internal pressure had been released.

Ms. Zhang said that it has been almost twelve years since she came to Taiwan from the mainland. She had never seen such performances in mainland China, but she could see it in Taiwan. She felt she was very fortunate to see this performance, and said happily, "I am really very lucky! The show is absolutely great and beautiful! Thank you! "

Ms. Wu is also a new immigrant from mainland China. She loves to watch music and dance performances, and this was her first time watching the DPA show. She said excitedly, "The backdrop is really realistic and vivid. The show is truly great! Really very beautiful! Very exciting! "

She added that every program had different styles and special characteristics, and that the music and costumes were wonderful.
