(Clearwisdom.net) It was Good Friday, a day of rest for local Brisbane theater goers, so when they stepped out that evening to catch the Shen Yun show, they were ready to embrace the New York-based performance group. It was a packed house at the Queensland Conservatorium Theater, and the audience let Shen Yun performers know they were loving it.

Finance Officer: "The technique is perfect"

Ms. Peters, a finance officer, was impressed with the skill level presented by Shen Yun. "The technique is perfect. The fitness of the people is amazing," she said. It was the dancing that moved her the most, and she said that she enjoyed just seeing some of the agility and the grace. The soprano, Chia-ning Hsu, had also made an impression. "That was pretty special," she said.

Ms. Kersley, who works at Queensland Treasury, thought the Shen Yun performance was "awesome," noting that the choreography was "just spectacular," and the costumes "really breathtaking."

Her friend, Mr Faulkner, who works in the Queensland Department of Justice, said he particularly liked the program "Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain," a lively scene depicting the joy of Tibetan folk dance. "I'm a big fan of constant movement. The costumes, and the timing and the choreography is excellent," he said.

Many people in the audience expressed their appreciation and excitement.

Ms. Lee felt homesick when she saw Shen Yun and said, "Most of the stories in the show tonight I heard when I was little, and now tonight reminds me of everything. Shen Yun is well done, stunning. Everything is perfect. It just makes me a bit homesick as well."

Ms. Lee said she found it difficult to describe the effect Shen Yun had on her, but she remarked that she could "feel it from their movement and from their expressions. It's all about the story, how they interpret it in the dancing, in the way they perform. It's just beautiful."

Ms. Fletcher, a medical receptionist, thought the show was "absolutely fantastic." She particularly noted the dancing, saying, "The grace, the grace. What amazed me was the way they tiptoe so fast across the stage. It does your heart good just to watch it. I loved it."

Ms. Wong saw Shen Yun with her friends. "It was fabulous. That floating effect when they're moving across the stage--it was just beautiful. Everything was superb," she said. She continued to say that the show would come as a surprise to many Westerners. "I think they've depicted it beautifully because us Western people don't realize how old the culture is. It really is beautiful. They did very well."

"I just wanted to get up and dance with them"

Ms. Dynes, a jeweler and owner of a jewelery store, was also in the audience and thought the culture depicted on stage was amazing. "I loved the culture. Seeing the culture is amazing. I know there's difficulty with young people losing their culture, so this is really a great way of bringing young people back into it."

"I thought the color ... the girls were dainty. Oh my gosh--they were gorgeous! Their costumes were divine, the colors were brilliant. The background was awesome. They brought it into being so well--when the rock moved and then the fellow comes up, that was just amazing, well-timed, the timing, the dancing."

Ms. Dynes's favorite dances were "The Mystical Phoenix" and "Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain." "I just wanted to get up and dance with them, that was great! I'd love to come and see it again. I hope they do bring it out again, because I think it would be lovely to watch [again]."

Peter, who immigrated from China six months ago, felt privileged to attend Brisbane's performance. "To see a show like this ... to see it up close. It's such a good ... opportunity [that] is really hard to come by. I feel that the performance embodies China's true culture. The dancing and also the singing. It's all so brilliant. I hope that I can have more opportunities here to see more shows like this!"

Peter felt deeply moved by Western audience enthusiastic response. "Such a distant culture being able to be brought here, it gives me a really warm feeling. I think the audience was very involved in the show and enchanted by it. I was also. After seeing it, I feel very stirred. In such a country as Australia, to see my homeland's culture like that, it's extremely touching."

Mr. Nema, a property investor with a Muslim background, also appreciated the magnificence of Shen Yun, "It's a beauty. I love it. It makes me feel like I'm in heaven. It was very good for everyone that they can have an understanding of China. Very well done. Costumes were beautiful. Beautiful color! It's the best. I really enjoyed it. It's my second time this year and I'll see it again and my parents will come to see it tomorrow."

"I feel enlightened actually. I really enjoyed it. I come from Muslim culture, and I really enjoy Chinese culture. This is my spirit. I do believe it is a very powerful thing."
