Do Not Let the Attachment to Time Impede Our Path to Validate the Fa

(Clearwisdom.net) Another practitioner asked me recently when it was that Master had spoken the following words, "Let me ask you, if it would take another ten years to save all sentient beings, would you still do it?" ("Touring North America to Teach the Fa")

She implied that the ten years are approaching and Fa-rectification will end soon. I sensed her attachment to time, so I said to her, "Please be careful with the attachment to time. This is a loophole that the evil can take advantage of." She also realized it.

Then I remembered Master's words, "As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")

Recalling these words made me suddenly comprehend something that had puzzled me for ten years.

In "Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Singapore," Master said,

"I think that with so many people cultivating and trying to be good persons, nobody should push these 100 million people to the opposite side of the government--that I can tell you. But there's one point: No matter what we do, we must walk righteously on our own path."

When the persecution started in July 1999, I was still thinking about this with human notions: why did this persecution start? This thought was a manifestation of my not believing in Master and the Fa. And this question puzzled me for ten years.

Now I realize that all the several misfortunes I encountered under persecution, including my three-year labor camp term, all relate to this human notion. Had Master not helped me understand this, it could have been dangerous to my cultivation. I often asked myself why I was persecuted. It happened because I did not walk righteously. With so many attachments, I was measuring the Fa with human notions; when doing so, how can the evil not persecute us?

Then, why did that practitioner ask me the question? When looking within after arriving at home, I found the question was like a mirror that revealed my attachment to time.

I studied "Touring North America to Teach the Fa" and read the following sentences, "Of course, there won't be another ten years. It's not allowed to take that long, and they don't have that much time left in their lives."

I often used human notions to calculate Fa-rectification time. When I eventually realized this to be a strong attachment, I often tried to negate it and get rid of it, thinking it is not mine. Nonetheless, this attachment has not been completely eliminated. I need to do better.

Recently, when I learned that over 50 million Chinese people have quit the CCP and its affiliates I was unhappy, since it represents merely about one-thirtieth of the population. Master has mentioned saving one half of the Chinese people; there is still a long way to go. This time, while thinking about it, my attachment to time was gone. Instead, I was thinking about how to do the three things better and save more sentient beings.
