Washington DC: Practitioners Protest in Front of the New Chinese Embassy to Call for an End to the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of April 26, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Washington DC and surrounding areas commemorated the tenth anniversary of the "April 25" peaceful appeal by doing the Falun Gong exercises, and displaying posters and banners in front of the new Chinese Embassy. They clarified the facts about Falun Dafa in a peaceful manner as they have always done, and called for an end to the persecution.

Several Falun Gong practitioners who were interviewed shared the same concern: Such a group of sincere and kind people only benefit and do no harm to the nation and the people. Ten years have passed, and Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to such a brutal persecution. Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have died as a result of the persecution, but no violent incident has ever happened. Falun Gong practitioners have still clarified the facts, called for conscience and countered the persecution in a peaceful and rational manner. Falun Gong has been spread to over eighty countries and regions. Since the ancient times, the righteous always triumphs over evil. The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong group makes the CCP bound to fall apart.

Pang Jin, a student at the School of Business at the University of Missouri, made a special trip to Washington DC to call for kind people to help rescue her mother--Falun Gong practitioner Cao Junping from Weifang City, Shandong Province.

Pang Jin said that her mother had been put into a detention center prior to the Olympics last year for practicing Falun Gong. She is still being held there today. Her home was ransacked twice, and all the valuables were confiscated, including a bank book, a laptop computer and a car. Her father is a non-practitioner, but was also put in the Weifang City Detention Center for a month.

Ms. Pang said, "I'm now in a free country physically, but my heart is still linked to my hometown. I miss my parents and fellow practitioners in my hometown everyday. I hope I can do some more so that more people will learn the facts about the persecution soon. When there are more voices of support, there will be more voices of justice, and the evil will collapse."

Ms. Xu came to the United States to visit relatives one year ago from China. She has also been worrying about fellow practitioners in China who are still subjected to the persecution. She said, "The persecution is still going on crazily in China and so many Falun Gong practitioners are suffering, so I feel obliged to help stop the persecution."

Ms. Zhu, who is in her 80s, also took part in front of the Chinese Embassy.

She said that she used to be a chronic patient, and had taken a lot of medication and even retired earlier than she should. What was worse, a large part of her stomach was removed from an operation. The doctor had no way to cure her illness, so he recommended her to practice Falun Gong. Unexpectedly, she only practiced the exercise for three days, and her body experienced a fundamental change. A bean-sized thing was spit out from her mouth, and then all her illnesses were gone. Her complexion had also had positive changes. Ms. Zhu was emotional and said, "I was 66 years old that year, and it was the first time that I experienced the state of being a healthy person in a long, long time. I was so grateful to Falun Dafa and Master."

When the persecution started in 1999, Ms. Zhu thought it should not happen. She said, "As a Falun Gong practitioner, I'm responsible for speaking out all these facts so that everybody will understand the true situation, and stand up to stop the CCP's unreasonable persecution."

Mr. Chen, who engages in computer-related work, has practiced since 2006. Mr. Chen said, "After reading the book Zhuan Falun, my first impression was, 'It is a completely different book, the level is very high, and reveals a lot of truths that I have never read in other books.'"

Mr. Chen came to the United States to study in 1992. He had been interested in qigong in high school and college in China, but he had not heard about Falun Gong then.

Mr. Chen said, "After practicing cultivation, I know that Falun Dafa teaches people how to improve xinxing, eliminate one's karma, and cultivate until they return to their original, true selves. It is the true path."
