(Clearwisdom.net) Recently three practitioners were illegally arrested when clarifying the facts about Falun Gong to people. We immediately commenced our rescue actions, which meant exposing the police's persecution. We cooperated well with each other, using a number of methods in the rescue effort.

Some practitioners immediately collected information about the detention place of the three practitioners, and the people responsible for the arrest, and put all the information on Internet. Other practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, made phone calls to clarify the facts, exposed the persecution, pasted truth clarification posters, and sent letters and emails to the persecutors to ask them to stop the persecution. Some practitioners talked to the persecutors and clarified the facts and cleared up misconceptions person-to-person. Some practitioners talked to the family members of the arrested practitioners and helped them understand that the practitioners are innocent. They explained that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is committing a crime in persecuting Falun Gong and that the CCP should be held responsible for the arrest. The family members went to the detention place and openly asked for the release of the practitioners. Very soon the three detained practitioners were released.

Given this rescue effort, I began to understand on a deeper level that when we cooperate well as one body, without any selfish thoughts, keep righteous thoughts and behavior based on the Fa, thoroughly and patiently clear up the misconceptions about Falun Gong to make sure that every individual we meet understands the facts, we will achieve very good result.

We are all Falun Gong disciples, shouldering the sacred mission of assisting Teacher to save sentient beings. Teacher said, "The next person's things are your things, and your things are his things." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference" July 22, 2002) When our fellow practitioners are persecuted, we should not pessimistically wait, or allow the evil force to rampantly persecute practitioners at will. Exposing the evildoers, helping our practitioners achieve their freedom and therefore have practitioners return to the mission of saving sentient beings is what we should do and do well. The purpose is to save people more effectively on a larger scale.

A practitioner said that looking inward is a way to eliminate the evil. In the process of validating the Fa and stopping the persecution, we should do the three things well, never neglect to look inward, cultivate ourselves well, find our loopholes and correct ourselves based on the Fa, so that we won't give the old forces any excuse to persecute and attack us.

Cultivating our speech is also important. What I mean by that is that we not talk under any circumstance about the location of the truth-clarification material production site, what type of equipment is used, what kind of project we are involved in, which practitioner is doing what, when the practitioners will have a special meeting and so on. We should pay attention to what should and should not be said. We also should not spread anything irresponsibly if we are not positive about he facts. It could cause some potential damage or barrier to validate the Fa. Teacher talked in detail about Cultivation of Speech in an entire section in Zhuan Falun. Cultivation of speech is absolutely not something we can treat casually. Otherwise, the damage and its associated cost due to practitioners' loophole in cultivating speech is beyond just "lacking cultivation of speech." There are unaccountable detained practitioners who suffer torture for not providing information about other practitioners. They protect practitioners and Dafa with their lives. How can we on the outside of prison walls have an excuse for slacking off in the cultivation of speech.

With Teacher's compassionate help and protection, we walked thorough the most difficult time. The path of validating the Fa has become broader. Yet the closer we approach the end, the higher the Fa's requirements for us, because there are still so many sentient beings waiting for us to save them. To walk righteously while validating the Fa, we must keep a righteous mind, follow the Fa and accept it as our guidance at all times, and diligently do the three things well.
