(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

On November 7, 2008, Domestic Security agents from the Xigang District Police Department arrested Ms. Song Shuyan and took her from her home. They also took her Falun Dafa books, materials, computer, etc. They detained her for several months in the Dalian City Detention Center, and then sentenced her to three years of forced labor without notifying her family. Her family learned that she has been tortured to incontinence and has to be cared for around the clock by other prisoners.

After being detained for a long time in the Hefei City Luosigang Detention Center, Ms. Ji Shuzhen has been recently sentenced to eight years in prison. She went on a hunger strike for several days to protest the persecution and has been taken to the Hefei City First People's Hospital (Operator: 86-551-2183114).

Mr. Gao Jinglin lives in Xiaojigou Village, Taitoushan Township, Pingquan County. On April 26, 2009, the local town police ransacked his home and arrested him. They sentenced him to one year of forced labor on April 29, 2009.

Reportedly, as of May 27, 2009, Ms. Feng Xiaomei, who is detained in the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shijiazhuang City, had been on a hunger strike for 30 days. She was missing from the Center for 14 days during this period. Her lawyer went to visit her several days ago but was not allowed to see her.

Young practitioner Ms. Li Jiaojiao, 14, lives in the Xiaoguandaozhuang neighborhood, Zhangjiaqiao Village, Locheng Community, Shouguang City, in Weifang City, Shandong Province. Her whole family consists of Falun Dafa practitioners; her grandparents have all died under persecution, her father is in prison on a twelve-year term, her mother has been arrested and detained since 2008, and her uncle is in prison on an eight-year term. She is living alone without income.

At around 5 p.m. on May 25, 2009, Ms. Feng Yingxia was arrested at the Harbin City Train Station. The police forbade her family from seeing her and rejected their request to release her.

On the afternoon of May 25, 2009, Ms. Tian Xiuhua and Ms. Zhang Shuzhi were reported while they were clarifying the truth. The police arrested them and detained them in the Anda City Detention Center.

Ms. Guo Yingchun lives in Jishu Town, Shulan City. On the morning of May 25, 2009, police from the Jishu Town Department arrested her at home and detained her in the Nanshan Detention Center. Her physical condition is very poor. She has been arrested many times since 1999, and sent to forced labor twice (for a total of five years). She has been in exile to avoid mistreatment for the past two years, but she was arrested as soon she returned home on May 25, 2009.

On April 8, 2009, Ms. Song Shixiu and another practitioner were arrested while clarifying the truth to people in Nangou Market. The other practitioner escaped on the same day, but Ms. Song has been taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City after being detained for several days in the Nangou Detention Center. Her family visited her a few days ago and found her to be very thin and forced to go through brainwashing sessions.

Ms. Liu Shuhuan had been released for only one month from the Liaoning Province Women's Prison, after the Chinese New Year, when she was arrested again at home and sentenced to another six years in prison. She is in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison again.

On May 27, 2009, police ransacked Mr. Li Zhenlin's home in Heping District, Shenyang City and arrested him at his home. On the same day, another practitioner, Ms. Dong Hongzhu, never returned home, and her whereabouts are unknown.

On the morning of May 29, 2009, police from Taihe District Department arrested Ms. Hu Qiuxia and detained her.

At around 7 p.m. on May 27, 2009, at least five practitioners were arrested in Putuo District. Among them were two women with the surname Guo and Ms. Ying Jue, who has been cruelly tortured multiple times.

On the morning of May 27, 2009, the police arrested Ms. Xu Qingmei. She is detained in the Qingyun County Detention Center now.

Ms. Liu Haiyan, in her 40s, is an employee of the Longkou City Mining Technology Vocational School. She was forcibly arrested and taken to the Xiadingjia Brainwashing Center and forced to go through brainwashing sessions for two months there. In 2008, she was reported while writing "Falun Dafa is good" on a wall and sent to forced labor for one year. After being tortured for three months in the Wangcun Labor Camp, she was bailed out for medical treatment. On May 25, 2009, Ms. Liu Haiyan was reported while clarifying the truth to people, arrested, and detained in Zhangjiagou Detention Center on the same day.

On April 24, 2009, police from the Shuangqiao District Department arrested Ms. Bai Shuqin and found another practitioner, Ms. Xue Fuying, at her home. The police arrested Ms. Xue, ransacked her daughter's home, and detained Ms. Xue in the Kuancheng County Detention Center.

Ms. Zheng Zequn, 65, lives in Zhipingrentuo Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing City. On May 9, 2009, she was doing laundry at home alone when several police suddenly barged in, ransacked her home, arrested her, and detained her in the Jiangjin District Detention Center.

On April 5, 2009, the police arrested Mr. Wang Xiaosong, and his whereabouts are unknown. The police arrested Ms. Chen Sufen and detained her in Qionglai Detention Center. Ms. Han Yuqing is detained in the Dayi County Detention Center. Ms. Yang Shufen has been secretly sentenced to one year in prison with one year of probation. Ms. Yu Shaoping was brutally beaten while being arrested in the Tianyi Supermarket and sent to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. She has been tortured to deformity.

On April 29, 2009, two practitioners (names unknown) were arrested by plainclothes officers while clarifying the truth at the Xinglong Farm in Zhongjiang County. One is around 65 years old, the other is about 35 years old. They were in custody at the Xinglong Farm Police Station and taken to the Zhongjiang County Detention Center the next day.

Reportedly, Mr. Shen Bing and Mr. Jin Tangren, who have been arrested, are detained in the Qingbaijiang Detention Center in Chengdu City.

Mr. Gao Shiyun lives in the Fifth Group of Banqiao Village, Danling County, Sichuan Province. At around 10 a.m. on May 26, 2009, the county Domestic Security agents, including Xu Yuan, stormed into Mr. Gao's home and arrested his severely sick wife since he was not home. They dragged her downstairs and tried push her into their vehicle. The neighbors heard his wife's struggled and helped stop the arrest. The police forcibly took their TV set and computer.

Since July 20, 1999, Mr. Gao's family has been constantly harassed. The police have arrested Mr. Gao three times, detained him for 20 days, and sent him to one year of forced labor. Now Mr. Gao has been forced to flee to avoid being arrested. His wife has often been threatened and is very sick.

Ms. Wei Yongchun lives in Tuanjie Second Group, Sishijiazi Township, Kalaxin Prefecture, Chifeng City. The police from the local Jingshan Station arrested her in May 2008, and she is detained in Wuyuan Labor Camp located in Ninghe City.

Ms. Xu Jinming, in her sixties, was an employee of the Huxi Motor Factory (a big factory with employees mostly living in family housing) located in Shapingba District, Chongqing City. The police arrested him on May 22, 2009 while he was clarifying the truth in Beibei District and detained him in the Beibei District Detention Center. On the same day, the police arrested more than twenty practitioners in the Motor Factory and ransacked Mr. Xu's home.

Ms. Qin Wei, in her forties, was arrested while passing out truth-clarifying materials on May 27, 2009. The police ransacked her home and detained her in the Shapingba District Detention Center.

Mr. Gu Jiushou, in his seventies, was arrested while passing out truth-clarifying materials on May 27, 2009. The police ransacked his home. He was released the same night.
