Mayor of Fengshan, Taiwan: Support Falun Gong and Make the World More Beautiful (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The International "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibition is being held in Fengshan City, Kaohsiung County, Taiwan from June 16 to July 3. Many people have come to see it. When the exhibition was held in Kaohsiung City on May 4, one of the government officers from Fengshan viewed the artworks and was deeply touched, so he invited the organizers to hold it in Fengshan too.

On June 16, many government officers and local VIPs from Fengshan attended the opening of the exhibition. The Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of 100 Falun Gong practitioners, performed at the opening. Cheng Chimei, a representative from the Falun Dafa Association in Taiwan, Mr. Hsu Chijie, the Mayor of Fengshan, and other local VIPs gave speeches at the opening.

Mr. Hsu Chijie said: "Falun Gong practitioners are great. They uphold their belief despite the persecution. Falun Gong has spread all over the world and benefited a lot of people."

"The exhibition shows the journey of Falun Gong. There is a touching story behind every artwork. I hope that the exhibition can help to promote Chinese traditional values in the world. Let us support Falun Gong together and make the world more beautiful."

Ms. Cheng Chimei briefly introduced the art works. There are 34 paintings by 15 artists, all of whom are Falun Gong practitioners. They expressed their understanding of cultivation and experiences through the artwork, hoping to bring a positive impact to society.

Mr. Wu Yongte, a former art professor, guided the guests through the exhibition.

Mr. Cai Yaoyang, a representative of Legislative Member Yu Chenghsian, watched the Shen Yun Performing Arts' show in Kaohsiung. He gave a speech at the opening. He said: "The Shen Yun show had a deep impact on our society. Falun Gong practitioners have very positive influences in the art community. The art works have profound meanings. I hope that it can be held at every corner of Taiwan so that more people can share in these beautiful things. I admire Falun Gong for its cultivation, its spirituality and its high level achievements in the arts."

Mr. Liu Delin, a city council member, gave a speech. He said: "I am deeply touched by the art works. It shows how Falun Gong has successfully spread all over the world. We should show respect to it, whether we practice it or not."

Mr. Chen Jiashang, an artist, has come to the exhibition four times. He said: "The art works are very touching. They are the best I have ever seen. I am grateful that the mayor of Fengshan invited the organizers to hold the exhibition here. It is an international exhibition. It is spreading seeds so that the tall trees of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance' will grow everywhere in the world."

In order to promote the exhibition, the organizers invited the Divine Land Marching Band to perform at the opening, which attracted many people. They took photos and asked about the exhibition. Some of them also expressed interest in learning Falun Gong.
