Toronto, Canada: Chinese from Mainland China Learning Falun Gong from Minghui Students (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 20 and 21, 2009, the 21st Toronto International Dragon Boat Festival at Centre Island, Toronto attracted more than a hundred thousand visitors. As in previous years, the teachers and students of Toronto Minghui School came to Centre Island to clarify the truth and promote Falun Dafa during the festival.

Clarifying the truth to a visitor

Mr. Lan is learning the Falun Gong exercise by following the Minghui school students

The teachers and students set up a "Falun Dafa" banner and started to do exercises to the music. Groups of visitors stopped to watch and took photos and video. Many asked for more information about Falun Gong.

Mr. Lan moved to Toronto from Guangzhou, China seven years ago. On the day of the festival, he and over a dozen of friends came to Centre Island. He watched the students exercise for a long time.

Later, he asked one of the parents, "Can I do the exercises with the children? If such a young child can learn the exercises, I believe I can learn, too."

The parent said, "Sure, please join them." So he began to do the exercises following the students.

A dozen Chinese people talked to the teachers for a long time. Before they left, everyone took a truth-clarification booklet and said they would join the group exercises next week near their residence.

Joel Etienne is a lawyer in Toronto. He came to Centre Island with his wife and five-year-old daughter. When he saw the students doing the exercises, he said excitedly, "You are doing a wonderful job! So many people have heard about Falun Gong. I am very happy for you. Even my daughter said she wanted to join the children to do the exercises."

Traveling from Italy, Mary and her family came to Centre Island, too. She took a lot of photos of students doing the exercises and said, "These children are so cute. They are so peaceful."

A parent gave her a flier. She said, "Falun Gong. I heard of it but don't know much about it. I will learn more after I go home."
