Cultivating While Distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts VCDs

(Clearwisdom.net) I read a sharing article about clarifying the truth to everyday people face to face. An everyday person said, "You are afraid, so you have to distribute them at night. We are more afraid than you." I was shocked when I read those words. Because of our attachment to fear, people are afraid to read our truth-clarification materials, and they may destroy them immediately. Thus, instead of saving them, we may instead push them away further due to our fear.

For a long time, I couldn't break through my fear of clarifying the truth face to face. Recently, I read many experience sharing articles about promoting Shen Yun Performing Arts VCDs. Master said,

"After the instruction, the Master will again tell it: 'You still have many attachments to remove. You should go out to wander about.' Wandering around in society is rather torturous. It must beg for food and meet different kinds of people who will scold, insult, or take advantage of it. It might encounter all kinds of things. It will treat itself as a practitioner and balance well relations with others, always maintaining and upgrading xinxing. It will not be moved by the temptations of different benefits among everyday people. After many years, it will return from wandering around." (Zhuan Falun)

I realized that clarifying the truth in person was a process we must experience at the last stage of Fa-rectification.

Days ago, when I practiced the exercises, I decided to distribute Shen Yun VCDs in person the next day. I planned to visit each store in turn, but as soon as I had this idea and was doing the fourth exercise, I suddenly had loose bowels and felt very weak. I persisted in finishing the exercises. I knew the old forces were interfering with me because I was going to distribute the materials face to face. I firmly denied and eliminated it and at the same time asked Master to strengthen me.

The next day when I got up, my whole body ached, including my bones, and I had a high fever. Unable to sit up, I laid down in bed and listened to Master's lectures. The old forces are really afraid of us clarifying the truth in person. I listened to Master's lectures, kept sending forth righteous thoughts, and asked Master to strengthen me. After staying in bed for two days, I was able to get up on the third day and felt like nothing had happened. My husband just started to cultivate Dafa a few months ago and my miraculous recovery convinced him even more.

This interference made me realize how important it was to clarify the truth in person. Once I recovered, I immediately took Shen Yun VCDs and went out into the streets. I decided to distribute them to the stores one by one. It was not as easy as I thought. I couldn't give up the attachment of fear and saving face and just couldn't open my mouth to speak when I walked into the stores. Finally, I decided to buy something. I bought something in a store and then said to the store owner, "I would like to give you a New Year performance show VCD. It is a wonderful show." I was blushing when I said this to her. She looked at the VCD and took it. Walking into the second store, I felt more at ease. I bought something and gave the owner a VCD. She looked at the VCD and said with pleasure, "Thank you. Next time you come to buy something, I would like to give you a discount." After leaving that store, I realized that I couldn't do it this way, because I could not afford to always buy things. I decided to distribute the VCDs to the pedestrians on the street, but I wasn't able to distribute even one VCD.

When I returned home, I decided to make more VCDs first. During the process, I found a burned VCD with the tracks off and on. I realized it might be a hint from Master. I often received hints on certain issues while preparing truth-clarifying materials. I wondered what Master wanted to tell me this time. I realized that even though I was unable to distribute the VCDs face to face, I should still distribute them widely. Many VCDs had been distributed in the city, so I decided to distribute them to villagers in the countryside. Nowadays, VCD players are very popular in the countryside. In the first village, I decided not to talk to people in person. At the first house, I noticed that the door was open but no one was to be seen inside. I hung a VCD on the door and left. As soon as I started to walk away, I heard a voice from behind me, "Hey, what are you doing?" I immediately turned around and walked back. I tookthe VCD from the door and talked to the lady, "Do you have a VCD player at home?" She said she did, so I handed the VCD to her and said, "This is a New Year performance show. It is a wonderful show. It can also improve your health." (I noticed she had a problem with her leg when she walked.) She took it with ease and everything went very smoothly. I didn't have any fear nor was I shy but was very calm with the thought to save sentient beings. After I left, I realized that it seemed so simple to clarify the truth in person. My first thought was to thank Master for giving me confidence.

After this first step, everything went much more smoothly. I went to the countryside two or three times per week to distribute the Shen Yun VCDs, taking about 60 each time. I kept sending forth righteous thoughts and asked Master to strengthen me along the way. When arriving at a village, I sent forth righteous thought first to eliminate the evil factors that obstructed people from learning the truth and asked Master for help. Generally, I could give out the VCDs to anyone I met. For example, once I arrived at a village, and many children were playing outside. I distributed the VCDs to them and they were all very happy and rushed to get one. I continued walking and an old man riding a bike came after me and called, "What are you distributing?" When he came close to me, I handed him a VCD and said, "This is a global Chinese New Year celebration show. The show is wonderful. I'll give you one and you can watch it at home." He looked at the beautiful cover and said, "Thanks." He turned around and left. Another time when I walked into a village, there were not many people outside. I met an old man on a bike and gave him a VCD. I turned into a lane and a man in a wheelchair came out and asked me, "What are you distributing? Why don't you give me one?" I gave one to him. He looked at it and was immediately attracted by the beautiful cover, "I only like to watch these kinds of shows," he said. Seeing how people were longing for the truth, I thanked Master from the bottom of my heart.

"Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master. It is good enough if you have this wish. It is the master who actually does this, as you are simply unable to do it." (Zhuan Falun)

It is Master who truly saves sentient beings. Of course, in this dimension, it is necessary for us to take action, which is the process of eliminating our attachments and improving. Master arranges for those who have a predestined relationship to meet us. We must seize every opportunity and should not let Master down in his painstaking arrangements.

I wrote about my experiences to encourage those fellow practitioners who haven't been able to distribute VCDs in person. Don't restrain yourself in your mind. During this limited time, distributing these VCDs in person is another opportunity Master has given us. We should not miss this opportunity again.
