The CCP's "Counter-Terrorism" Efforts

(Clearwisdom.net) After the tragedy of 9-11 happened in the United States, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) wasted no time in seizing upon the opportunity to use a new buzzword to justify its persecution of various groups: "counter-terrorism." In the years following 9-11, the CCP has spared no expense in conducting "counter-terrorism exercises" with its troops and police. On June 9, 2009, the CCP again conducted "counter-terrorism" exercises in Inner Mongolia, Shangxi, Hebei, and areas surrounding Beijing. In the past few years, it has first labeled various dissident groups as "terrorists" and then proceeded to crush them.

It's important to note, however, that the American definition of "terrorism" and the CCP definition have vast differences. For the most part, American counter-terrorism efforts focus on extremist groups intent upon inflicting damage to the general population or government targets, for the purpose of generating fear or social disruption. But the CCP lumps all dissidents, meaning those that have differing religious or political views, into the "terrorist" group. The CCP has never had the mandate of the people via a democratic election, but rather seized power violently and held on at all costs, so it is also constantly paranoid about having the same done to it.

History tells us that the CCP is the world's biggest terrorist organization. The brief history of the CCP spanning the last five or six decades is filled with bloody purges, ruthless suppressions, and genocidal tactics. When you go from the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, the Tiananmen Square Massacre of democracy activists, the suppression of Falun Gong, and many other similar bloody suppressions - it has caused the untimely deaths of tens of millions of innocent Chinese people. If it is allowed to exist, its pattern of cold blooded murder and violence will inevitably continue unabated in one guise or another.
