Washington D.C.: Rally Calls for End of Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Prior to the 10th anniversary of the start of the persecution, more than 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners, nine U.S. Congressmen, and representatives from more than 10 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) held a rally on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., calling upon people to recognize the evil nature of the CCP and for an end to the persecution.

Non-Government Groups Speak in Support of Falun Gong at Washington DC Rally

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 16, practitioners from all over the world gathered in Washington DC to mark the tenth anniversary of July 20, when the Chinese Communist Party started the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. They rallied to call for an end to the persecution in China, and a number of NGO's spoke at the rally in support. Some excerpts from their speeches are below.

Falun Gong practitioners all over the world have been holding activities in memory of those who were tortured to death during the persecution, and to expose the truth of the persecution to the world. On July 11, Falun Gong practitioners and supporters in San Diego, California held a series of activities, including a rally, an art exhibition and a candlelight vigil in Balboa Park. Local TV stations Fox and KUSI covered the activities.
