(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Shen Xuemei, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Luoding County, Guangdong Province, and her six year-old son are homeless and living a hard life to avoid being persecuted. Ms. Shen and her husband, Mr. Chen Jianguo, have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for more than ten years. They became homeless in 2002 and often escaped police. On October 25, 2007, Mr. Chen was arrested and secretly sentenced to a seven-year term. He is imprisoned in Sihui Prison, Guangdong Province.

Ms. Shen Xuemei was born in Luoding County in 1976. She started Falun Dafa cultivation in May 1998 in Sanxiang Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. After the CCP started persecuting Falun Dafa, officers continuously harassed her and a fellow worker, Ms. Lu Bo. Due to CCP pressure, they were dismissed from their jobs. Ms. Shen was monitored by Tan Boyong, the administration section head from the Luoding County local police station.

In early 2000, Ms. Shen; her brother, Mr. Shen Mingjun; and others went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. They were arrested and their local government liaison's Beijing office had them escorted back to their hometown. Tan Boyong and others took them to the local detention center where they were imprisoned for one month. Tan Boyong tried to extort over 4,000 yuan from Ms. Shen and her brother, and more than 2,000 yuan from Chen Jianguo's parents. At the same time, Mr. Chen Jianguo was arrested and taken to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp.

In April, 2000, Ms. Shen; her brother, Mr. Shen Mingjun; and sister, Ms. Shen Hongmei, went to Beijing again to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong, and were escorted back by Tan Boyong. They were each sentenced to a one year of forced labor, to be served at Sanshui. A doctor put shackles and chains generally worn by death-row criminals on Ms. Shen. Her feet were severely injured and bleeding from the shackles. The officers demanded that her parents pay for plane tickets, although they were poor and had to take out a loan from a local bank.

Ms. Shen was forced to do hard labor from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. at Sahnshui Forced Labor Camp. She was locked in a solitary cell and not allowed to step outside the cell. She was ordered to read communist party materials and take training. Ms. Shen refused, so the guards intensified the torture and bullied and humiliated her. Ms. Shen's prison term was extended for seven months. Mr. Chen was imprisoned for nine months

In November 2001, both Ms. Shen and Mr. Chen were taken back to Luoding County. After they were released, they were arrested and imprisoned again because they talked on the phone. The officers accused them of conspiring. They went on a seven-day hunger strike and were released but still monitored by the local CCP minions. The CCP minions confiscated their identification cards.

In time, Ms. Shen married Mr. Chen Jianguo. After they found out that the local 610 Office was planning to take them to a brainwashing center, they left their home and became homeless. The officers did not give up and looked for them everywhere. The couple had a baby son. The little boy had to suffer the same miserable life because his parents were Falun Gong practitioners.

Chen Jianguo ferried people and cargo on his motorcycle to earn a little money. On October 25, 2007, he was arrested by officers from Zhaoqing City. He was sentenced to a seven-year term at the Luoding County Detention Center, without due process or proper documentation proving guilt. The only reason was that he practiced Falun Gong. Mr. Chen Jianguo is imprisoned in Sihui Prison in Guangdong Province.

The officers are now searching for Ms. Shen Xuemei and her son. They keep harassing her relatives and demanding that they tell where the mother and son are. Ms. Shen's brother, Mr. Shen Mingjun, was imprisoned twice in an effort by officials to coerce him to provide information about Ms. Shen Xuemei. He was then taken to a brainwashing center in Sanshui County. The CCP has monitored him and his phone calls since his release.
