Million Minutes of Meditation: A New Project Sponsored by Friends of Falun Gong Gives People an Easy Way to Position Themselves Correctly

(Clearwisdom.net) Friends of Falun Gong has announced a new project to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong, giving people an opportunity to do something unique to help stop the persecution, and to align their hearts with Dafa in a very positive way. The project is called Million Minutes of Meditation, and it will be a central part of the activities in Washington, DC, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the persecution.

This is more than a one-time project, however. The website allows participation anytime from anywhere and will stay up for the rest of the year at www.MillionMinutesofMeditation.org. Practitioners in other areas are encouraged to hold their own events similar to the one in Washington DC on July 19. Practitioners around the world can do events in local parks or on college campuses to get people to take a few minutes to meditate or learn the exercises of Falun Gong. They can keep a tally of how many minutes people contributed in total and then donate those minutes online.

Million Minutes of Meditation calls for people to donate their own meditation time to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong. The program has the potential to generate quite broad appeal, since it gives members of the public the opportunity to participate according to their own understanding. Whether they meditate, pray, or just sit and contemplate human rights or the meaning of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, they can donate however many minutes of that time that they want online at www.MillionMinutesofMeditation.org. The project helps people to better understand the nature of Falun Gong as a peaceful cultivation practice, and gives them a way to engage with Dafa on a very deep, personal level.

Attached are two small preview images of the postcard and flyer. These pdfs can be modified to have local information on them, and after July 20, they only need slight modification to stay relevant for the entire year. If anyone has questions they can email contact@millionminutesofmeditation.org.
