(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 19 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] English Teacher Mr. Han Ping Arrested
On May 22, 2009, police officers from the Goumenzi Town Police Station arrested Mr. Han Ping, an English Teacher from Goumenzi Middle School, Goumenzi Town, Lingyuan City. They extorted 6,000 yuan from him before releasing him. Then at 11:00 a.m. on June 19, officials from the Domestic Security Division and many local policemen arrested him while he was at school.
On June 18, Mr. Kan Mingjie, a non-practitioner from Goumenzi Village, was caught while he was trying to insert a flyer about Falun Gong into the police station through a door. At 3:00 p.m., Mr. Kan's supervisor in the Goumenzi Animal Hospital and leaders in the village went to the police station and asked for his release, but to no avail. Moreover, they were all arrested too.

2. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tang Yuelan Arrested
On June 19, Ms. Tang Yuelan, a practitioner from Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, was arrested.
3. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Xingjun Arrested
On June 18, 2009, police officers from the Xinxing Police Station, Xinxing Branch, Qitaihe City Police Bureau, arrested Ms. Liu Xingjun, a practitioner from the Xinli Mine Field.
4. [Shanghai] Mr. Wang Naiwei Arrested
On June 18, 2009, police officers arrested Mr. Wang Naiwei, a practitioner from Jinxian Road, Luwan District, Shanghai.
5. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Cheng Xiangmi, Ms. Zhang Qingmin and Her Husband Detained
Recently, local police in Shan County, Shandong Province arrested Mr. Cheng Xiangmin, an elderly practitioner from Shan County, as well as Ms. Zhang Qingmin and her husband. They ransacked their homes and detained the practitioners in the Shan County Detention Center.
6. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Youxia Arrested and Her Home Ransacked
On June 7, 2009, village leader Duan Fagang conspired with officials from the Yishui County Domestic Security Division and staff from the Huangshan General Office, and arrested Ms. Wang Youxia, a practitioner from Dongtugou Village, Huangshanpu Town, Yishui County, Linyi City. The local authorities took her to the Yishui County Detention Center and later ransacked her home.
7. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoping Arrested
On June 19, 2009, police officers from the Luopu Village Police Station arrested Ms. Wang Xiaoping and Ms. Li Ruiping, practitioners from Dingxing, Hebei Province, while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in Luobao Village, Dingxing County. Ms. Li Ruiping showed symptoms of a heart attack after she had to undergo a physical examination. At around midnight, she was released. Ms. Wang Xiaoping is still detained in the local detention center.
8. [Dongguang County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Tiedong and His Wife Arrested
At 5:00 p.m. on April 28, 2009, police officers from Cangzhou City and Dongguang County arrested Mr. Liu Tiedong, a practitioner from Dongguang County. They ransacked his home and confiscated his computer, printer, DVDs and other personal property. In the meantime, they arrested his wife Ms. Ma Zhixin at the Cangzhou City Medical Center. Mr. Liu Tiedong is currently detained in the Dongguang Detention Center, and his wife Ms. Ma Zhixin is detained in the Wuqiao County Detention Center.
9. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Rongfang and Ms. Fang Xiuying Arrested
On June 20, 2009, the police arrested Ms. Sun Rongfang and Ms. Fang Xiuying, practitioners from Zhoucun District, Zibo City, Shandong Province.
10. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Ma Jingqun Arrested and Detained in a Brainwashing Center
At about 4:00 p.m. on April 20, 2009, Ms. Ma Jingqun and two other practitioners were reported to the police while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at Huancheng Park, near the Xi'an City train station. The police from the train station's Police Bureau arrested them. Later, the police ransacked the homes of the other two practitioners, but didn't find any materials. At about 1:00 a.m. on April 21, they were released.
In the afternoon of April 21, officials from Xi'an City's 610 Office and the 610 Office of the Xincheng Branch, Xi'an City Police Bureau arrested Ms. Ma Jingqun and took her to the Chang'an County brainwashing center. She is still being detained there.
11. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yang Yuling and Ms. Wang Cuihua Arrested
In the afternoon of June 16, 2009, the police arrested Ms. Yang Yuling and Ms. Wang Cuihua, practitioners who work at the Qinchuan Machine Tool Factory, Weibin, Baoji City, in their homes. They are still detained in the Fenghuo Hotel.
12. [Guangze County, Fujian Province] Mr. Mao Jingmu Arrested
On June 15, 2009, the police from the Guangze County Domestic Security Division, Fujian Province, arrested Mr. Mao Jingmu and his wife Ms. Wang Dongxiang, as well as Ms. Wu Xiuyu and Ms. Wang Zhaomin, practitioners from Guangze County, Fujian Province.
13. [Xishui County, Guizhou Province] Mr. Wu Shengying and Mr. Xiao Sixian Arrested
In 2009, Mr. Wu Shengying, the principal at Yuhuai Middle School, Xishui County, and Mr. Xiao Sixian were sentenced to prison terms. Mr. Xiao Sixian was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison. He is now detained in the No. 7 Area, Duyun Prison, Guizhou Province. Mr. Wu Shengying was sentenced to six years in prison, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Chongqing City] Mr. Zhang Lipou's Home Ransacked
At 11:00 a.m. on June 18, 2009, eight policemen from the Huixing Police Station arrested Mr. Zhang Lipou, 85, a practitioner from Yubei District, Chongqing City, while he was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at Shuanghu Road, Yubei District. He was released at 7:00 p.m. that same day. When he returned home, he saw that his home had been ransacked. The police confiscated all his Dafa books and other Dafa materials, his son's ID card, tape recorder, cell phone, his grandson's study recorder, and other personal property.
In the meantime, the police ransacked another practitioner's home, Mr. Li Yuanpei, and confiscated all of his Dafa books and materials.
15. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Hejiang Court Sentenced Six Practitioners to Prison Terms
At 3:00 p.m. on June 15, 2009, officials at the Hejiang Court sentenced six practitioners to prison terms. Ms. Wei Fengming was sentenced to seven years, Ms. Luo Shuizhen to five years, and Mr. Gui Dalv, Mr. Song Degui, Ms. Wu Xianzhen and Ms. Wu Derong to four years, three years and three-and-a-half years respectively.
