Additional Persecution News from China - June 26, 2009 (15 Reports)
(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of
persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this
report, 13 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their
detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested. 1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Xiang and Five Other
Practitioners Arrested In the evening of June 23, 2009, police officers from Dongling District
arrested Ms. Chen Xiang and five other practitioners in Taoxian. Later on in the
evening, the officers ransacked homes and confiscated a computer and two
printers. 2. [Jilin Province] Ms. Ning Shuhua Harassed by Police Officers About 10:00 a.m. on June 24, 2009, officers from the Train Station Police
Station and Changyi Police Station harassed Ms. Ning Shuhua. They took her Falun
Dafa books, Minghui Weekly, cell phone, and MP3 player. Train Station and Changyi Police Stations , Jilin City (Tel): 86-432－2544110 3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Zhaoping Arrested and Her Home
Ransacked At about 6:00 a.m. on June 25, 2009, four officials from the Hanting Domestic
Security Division arrested Ms. Zhang Zhaoping. She had been employed at the
Hanting Cotton Oil Factory. They ransacked her home. Yan Fengshan: (Cell) 86-139-53668177, (Land Line Phone) 86-536-7268908 4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Wenhua Arrested In the afternoon of June 8, 2009, Mr. Sun Wenhua, over 60 years old, a
practitioner from Qingdao City was reported to police when he was distributing
DVDs of Shen Yun Divine Performance at Darunfa Market. Officers from the Badahu
Police Station arrested him, ransacked his home and confiscated his Dafa books,
tapes, truth clarification materials about Falun Gong and cash. In the afternoon
of June 10, officers took Mr. Sun Wenhua to the Qingdao City Detention Center.

86-532-66575089 5. [Changyi County, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Huiqiang Arrested On May 17, 2009, officers from the Changyi County Domestic Security Division,
Weifang City broke into the home of Mr. Li Huiqiang, a practitioner from
Xijintai Northeast Village, Shipu Town, Changyi County. They confiscated his
Falun Dafa books, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,
DVDs that expose the persecution and other items. Mr. Li Huiqiang was just
released from Wangcun Labor Camp one year ago. He is now detained in Changyi
City Detention Center. Mr. Li Huiqiang's wife and child were forced to leave
their home and their 75-year-old father is now alone at home. 6. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Zhanfeng Tortured and Suffered a
Stroke Mr. Ma Zhanfeng, a practitioner from Liangwa Township, Anping County,
Hengshui City, Hebei Province, was sentenced to a seven-year prison term because
he practiced Falun Gong. He has been imprisoned in the No. 6 Area of Jindong
Prison, Hebei Province for six years. He was brutally tortured physically and
mentally. Now he often feels dizzy and suffers from chest pain and high blood
pressure. The prison officials forced him to run on the playground even in hot
weather. As a result, his heart was racing and pounding. The following day he
was taken to the Prison Hospital. 7. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Shuzheng Arrested On June 24, officers from the Renqiu City Domestic Security Division arrested
Ms. Li Shuzheng, a practitioner from Renqiu City, Hebei Province when she was
putting up Falun Dafa truth clarification posters. Ms. Li Shuzheng is detained

86-0317-2222452 8. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yuan Huaqin Sentenced to Three and
Half Year Prison Term On August 19, 2008, officers arrested Ms. Yuan Huaqin, a practitioner from
Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province when she was distributing Falun Gong
informational materials. In April 2009, she was sentenced to a
three-and-a-half-year prison term. Xiao Ni, Ms. Yuan Huaqin's niece, was
sentenced to a three-year prison term and given four years of probation. In September 2008, officers arrested Ms. Yang Shundi when she was
distributing materials exposing the persecution about Falun Gong. She was
sentenced to two years of forced labor. In May 2009, officers arrested Ms. Yue Jiaxian while she was clarifying the
truth to people. She was sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor.
Both practitioners are detained in the Goudong Women's Forced Labor Camp,
Jiangsu Province. 9. [Chongqing City] Ms. Feng Xiaomei Sentenced to Forced Labor On June 17, 2009, the Jiangjin District Court, Chongqing City, sentenced Ms.
Feng Xiaomei to a three-year prison term. She is still detained in a detention
center. Ms. Feng Xiaomei is forced to do labor daily. Due to the hard labor, her
health is deteriorating and her face is swollen. 10. [Guangzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Shunyan Persecuted In 2000, officers arrested Ms. Dong Shunyan, 45, at Tianhe Stadium and took
her to the detention center. She was inhumanly beaten. She was fired from her
job. In 2001, officials from the Shipai Street Committed and officers from the
Shipai Police Station arrested Ms. Dong Shunyan when she visited her mother in
Shipaicun. Later, she escaped and became homeless. Ms. Dong Shunyan went back home in 2002. Officials from Shipai Street
Committed and officers from the Shipai Police Station broke into her home and
arrested her. They took her to the Chatou Brainwashing Center, where she was
tortured for more than three months. When her mother came down with was a
critical illness, her family asked for her release. She was then released. On March 3, 2009, officers arrested Ms. Dong Shunyan again and detained her
for 15 days in a detention center, because she had been distributing materials
about Falun Gong at Dongpu, Tianhe District. On March 18, they took her to the
Chatou Brainwashing Center for a second time. She was again released when her
younger brother underwent brain surgery. 11. [Jinmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Deyu Arrested On June 23, 2009, Ms. Liu Deyu, a practitioner from Jinmen City was reported
to police because she was raising awareness about Falun Gong. Later, Xu Yue and
other officials from Dongbao District State Security Bureau, Jinmen City,
arrested her. They beat her brutally until her head was bleeding. The same
afternoon, several officers broke into Ms. Liu Deyu's home. They ransacked it
and confiscated her computer, Falun Dafa books, the Nine Commentaries on the
Communist Party and other informational materials related to the persecution
of Falun Gong. 12. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Xuzhen Arrested In the afternoon of June 23, 2009, officials from Luzhou City and the
Jiangyang District "610 Offices" arrested Ms. Tang Xuzhen, about 70
years old. She is a retired professor from the Luzhou Medical School, Sichuan
Province. They ransacked her home and then took her to the Naxi Detention
Center. 13. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yan Baozhen Arrested Around June 24, 2009, Ms. Yan Baozhen was reported to the police when she was
distributing DVDs of the Shen Yun Performing Arts Show and booklets that clear
up misconceptions about Falun Gong at Shanchang Village, Xiangzhou, Zhuhai City.
The officers arrested her and confiscated all her Falun Dafa books and DVDs. Ms.

86-756-2116901 14. [Chongqing City] Ms. Liu Tianlin Arrested On June 4, 2009, officers from Dongquan Town, Banan District, Chongqing City
arrested Ms. Liu Tianlin, 55. She was employed in the Chongqing City Textile
Factory before she retired. She is detained in the Banan District Detention
Center. Banan District Detention Center: (Tel) 86-23-86996089 15. [Chongqing City] Mr. Zhu Yuanhuang's Whereabouts Unknown On August 29, police officers arrested Mr. Zhu Yuanhuang, 50, a practitioner
from Peiwen Town, Wanzhou District, Chongqing City at home. They arrested him
and took him to Fulu Police Station. On August 30, 2001, they took him to the
Liang Ping Detention Center. On September 9, 2002, Liangping court sentenced Mr. Zhu Yuanhuang to a
four-year prison term. While Mr. Zhu Yuanhuang was detained in the Liangping
Detention Center, his wife died because she couldn't afford medical treatment.
Their two little daughters were orphaned. They couldn't afford the school
tuition, so they dropped out of school. With the help of kindhearted people,
they survived, but have had to work for a living, though they are children. Mr.
Zhu Yuanhuang became homeless to avoid arrest after he was released. His
whereabouts are unknown. June 25, 2009.
