The Righteous Actions of a Practitioner Who Turned His Life Around

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Liu Shehong, 41 years of age, was a worker at the Wuchang Lumber Factory in the city of Wuhan, Hubei Province. He used to be addicted to drugs and people were intimidated by him.

At the end of 2006, Mr. Liu was fortunate to obtain Falun Dafa and he got rid of his long-time drug addiction after only four months. His health improved and his cheeks took on a rosy hue. He started respecting the elderly and caring for the young. He also helped out at home and treated others with kindness. People who witnessed the change in him were in awe of the amazing transformation.

On the afternoon of May 4, 2008, Mr. Liu Shehong and his nephew Mr. Liu Jinhua were illegally arrested by police from the Jiangxia District Police Department, and their home was ransacked because they were putting up truth-clarification signs in the Jiangxia District, Wuhan City. Both of them were sent to the Hewan Forced Labor Camp.

When Mr. Liu Shehong's neighbors heard about his arrest, they gathered together and signed a petition for his release, confirming that he was a good person. Some drug addicts and guards in the same labor camp knew Liu Shehong from before and they all said, "Falun Gong is truly wonderful. In the past Mr. Liu had anger written all over his face, but now he has kindness instead. It's amazing."

Inmates detained in the Hewan Forced Labor Camp have opportunities to be upgraded to less strict wards according to the amount of time they have spent there. But Mr. Liu Shehong was kept in the "strict-control" ward at all times. Nonetheless, he used every possible opportunity to talk to the prison staff and inmates about quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, in order for these people to secure a bright future for themselves.

One guard told the Dafa practitioners in the "normal-control" ward, "Mr. Liu tells everyone about quitting the CCP and its affiliates; he asks people he meets on the staircases or the corridors if they have quit or not. Not only that, he also tells everyone that Falun Dafa is good and Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good."
